Comment if you'd like a color. Then list ten things that you like/love which are that color.
eternitat gave me PINK.
1) Piggy, my stuffed pig. I received him in the hospital when I was born, and I slept with him all the way until I left for college. (Though not every night, since I didn't take him to sleepovers, camp, or even to the lake). He is dearly sentimental.
2) Flamingos. I enjoy unusual birds, like flightless birds or spindly birds that stand on long legs. Flamingos fall in the latter category-- and they are such a fun color! Like Piggy, I also slept with a pink flamingo with googly eyes named Pink Floyd from the time I received him in middle school until I left for college. My mom had a terrycloth "Mingo Pillow" next to her bed that was my special pillow to come use when I crawled into bed with her in the morning when I was really little. And I threw a fit in a family vacation in Florida when I was three because I wanted to stay and watch a flock of flamingos.
3) Amoxicillin-- or at least I think that was what it was. We called it "Pink Drink." It was a drinkable antibiotic for kids that you kept in the fridge. I think it was supposed to taste like bubblegum. I really loved it; I would outright get excited when my doctor prescribed it to me. In fact, I even got upset and cried when it was once prescribed to my sister and not me.
4) P!nk. She's not exactly colored pink (though her hair was at one point), but, well, come on. I've always been fond of P!nk-- her songs are catchy and she's got a sense of humor to her. She manages to be both serious and tongue-in-cheek at the same time, which is hard to pull off.
5) Asian white peaches. They are neither peach nor entirely white; they are mostly pink!
You don't even need to bite them, just place your lips on the surface and suck as the entire thing dissolves into sweet juice in your mouth.
6) Watermelon. Another fruit I find enjoyable. Watermelon gets gross quickly, so people usually serve it quite fresh-- which is good for me, since I hate canned or processed fruit. It's hard to mess up watermelon. (Though Kono Taeko made a pretty good try).
7) Shrimp. One of the first seafoods I really liked. Once again, hard to mess up shrimp. I do not, however, enjoy them live and biting me.. (Though my mom theorizes those were actually prawns).
8) Medium-rare steak. I think it's the iron deficiency, but I love me some red meat. I especially love me some borderline-raw red meat. I get this from my maternal grandmother, who loves steak and about whom we used to joke to restaurant wait staff when she ordered one, "Just warm it up." I like red centers to steaks, too, but I always feel a little safer eating it pink.
9) My iPod Nano. My mom got me this in pink as she's gotten many of my possessions in pink: because I'm the girliest in the family and if you own pink things, you eliminate the possibility of about half the population stealing your stuff, because most straight guys don't want pink things.
10) My (pink) clothes. Yes, it seems like the cop-out answer, but I wear a lot of pink! It's one of the most flattering colors on me and it suits my girly style to boot. I also have a pink Snuggie O.o
In other news, IT IS 69F/20C TODAY!!!! The Fucking Weather read: IT'S FUCKING NICE . . . It's sexy time. HELL YEAH!!!
