Writer's Block: Back to the future

I think I'd be thrilled. At 12, I was already interested in Japan and learning about the JET program as an opportunity to work there, so I'd be stoked to know that I got to fulfill that dream. I'd be pleased that I continued to get good grades and never get in trouble in school (and that I wasn't working so hard in elementary school for nothing, lol), and that I graduated from high school and college on time. I'd be very happy to know that I have not only one, but several best friends-- and a boyfriend! I'd also be happy to know I'm still writing, though I might be a bit pissed I haven't published anything yet. (Lol, at 12 I had this fantasy I'd be published by age 20-- it seemed so far away then!).
When I look at my life in terms of how far I've come and how many dreams I've achieved, I'm extremely happy. I don't get too complacent because there is still so much more I want to accomplish, but it's nice sometimes to step back and enjoy what I've done so far and what I've gained in my time on earth. I'm so much happier than I was 10 years ago.
