Improv and Finding Neverland

tabular_rasaI got called back for Improv yesterday, and had tryouts at 7:30. I don't think they went as well as the night before-- or at least not as well in comparison with the others that were there. The people said that we were the most talented try-out group they'd had in a while, if ever, which is comforting-- but they're still only going to take four out of the whole 17 that returned last night, lol . . .
. . . so it may not be happening. Oh well. Lol, I think I lost my advantage with the other girls when the two of them did a scene in a *hardware store* where they were describing what exactly they were going to do with that hammer that night, involving oiling it and putting it in the microwave, and . . . yeah . . . all the guys went nuts-- which was most of the theater, lol . . .
I'm so used to NON-dirty Improv. I've trained myself. Therefore, I am not funny, lol . . .
Silly high school Improv team, lol . . .
I watched Finding Neverland last night with Lisa, Patricia, and Keith. Anu ran in randomly, too, sat down on the bed, said something random to Patricia that even she didn't understand, and then ran back out. Anu is crazy, lol . . . but he amuses me . . .
Anyway, Finding Neverland made me CRY, of course . . . though I held it in until the very last scene (though I almost burst out laughing when the little boy went, "BUT WHY DID SHE HAVE TO DIE???" because it was just so trite, lol . . . even if he WAS a little kid . . . ).
At any rate, the scenes where it's flipping around through James Barrie's mind and then back to normal, I was like, "Heh, that's kind of how my mind works . . . " and then I told Lisa and Keith and Patricia that I'm not really in my own head 75% of the time . . . which is really quite true . . . particularly in class, when it's boring, lol . . .
I really didn't want to wake up this morning. My bed felt so GOOD.
