Finals are over. I HAVE A HALF DAY.

Boo-yah, all.

Well, all who don't have a half day.

All is well with the world. Well, aside from college applications, which will never be well with the world. Yet other than that, all is well with the world. I only got an 84% on my English final, but I had a 97%, so that's still a 94% or something, which is still an A. GPA-wise, it doesn't change anything.

Okay, and how's this for consistent: I got a 90% on my Economics final. I had a 90% in the class. I end up with a whopping grand total of . . . you guessed it . . . 90%!

Computer Applications I: There is only one other senior in my class. I have Mrs. Riley (aka the woman who did not know that "I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In" was a Christmas song and thought-- and told me-- that I was stupid for knowing such information). I think she likes me, though, because I helped her find pictures of butterflies online and insert the correct colors for her homepage background in their background so that she could put them on her homepage. Anyway.

Creative Writing: I was surprised: Liz, Joey, William (my pod from English, basically, lol!), and Laura are all in my Creative Writing class. The same goes for Dallas Null, who I used to talk to and sit with at lunch in 8th grade. She likes to write, I know; I don't remember her writing, much, but it should be interesting to see if we do like peer edits or whatever. I am looking forward to this. I love writing. Even if it is a stupid, stupid class, and nobody else cares . . . I'd rather be doing that, writing, than anything else in the world, really.

AP US Government: Why does Mr. Sadowey have so many random pictures on his wall? It's kind of weird. Also, it's weird how our seating chart arrangement goes: 3 guys in a row, Amy in a row by herself, 3 guys in a row, Alice in a row by herself, and 3 guys in a row. Yeah, that's really, really weird. He says it was by pure coincedence. Alice and I are the only girls in the class.

AP Economics: Is it not over yet? No, it is not. Three or four of us from AP US Government walk over to a room about three feet down and across the hall (but this is going to suck for me; I'm going to have to run all the way to the bathroom between them! It's just going to be LONGER, lol!). We only have 7 people, instead of 11 or whatever. I am probably the dumbest one among them. I'm at least the only one who isn't/hasn't taken Calculus. Erm . . . not that that has anything to do with Economics . . .

Orchestra: So it's bigger. Not better. More competition for stands-- or, more likely, more people to annoy Mr. Briddell and to get him pissed at us during class. I do love Mr. Briddell, you know; I just don't like how he gets all hyper and pissed off about the littlest things. He should be like Mr. Johnson, and just . . . carry on without them, and laugh secretively and happily when they fail . . . lol

So, anyway, after the half day, I went shopping with Mom for my winter dance dress. I found one! It is AWESOME. My mom thinks it's perfect, too, which is a plus, because how many times does that happen? It's sleeveless and it has a bustly skirt-- not just the tight, slinky kind, you know? It's made of this awesomely fantastic fabric that reminds me of Harry Potter's invisibility cloak, only instead of purple fading into silver it's blue fading into black. It's like liquid; it's so cool. Anyway. I'm excited. I have the bra for it, too (lol); now all I need to do is get my hair to stop looking like a mongoose and apply makeup so that it DOESN'T make me look like a hooker or a prostitute-- which is the only way I've learned it, since I only put it on when acting.

I tried on this other dress that amused me. I felt like a freaking vampire. It was black velvet (BLACK VELLLLLLVET, and that LITTLE BOY SMIIIIIIIILE . . . okay . . . I just like that song, okay?) In fact, it rather reminded me of that creepy 1930s/40s movie actress that I used for pictures of Mrs. Black in the Noble House RP journal . . . It was slinky and black and it actually looked good on me . . . if I hadn't found the dress that was awesome, I would have worn that one and had fun with it, like making my eye makeup all heavy and stuff . . . and then strutting around and being like, "Dahhling . . . " and attempting to be all seductive . . . which just wouldn't have worked . . . but would have been AWFULLY funny.

I saw Nikki and Jessica Nelson and-- Katie Fisher, was it?-- shopping at Deb, one of the places I looked. First thing they get to do upon return back to school is go to the Winter Dance . . . does anyone else not find this ironic? Jessica apparently already had two winter dance dresses already and was looking for a third and planning to return the two others. Hmm . . . I couldn't do it. Shoot, I'm exhausted as it is.

Random thought: I saw your name in the paper today under "High Honor Roll," for Christian Academy, Jessica (erm, not the shopping one, lol). It just randomly popped out at me when I was messing with the cartoons. It was about 6:10 in the morning, and I was like "Gehhh . . . hey, I know her . . . " *goes back to eating cereal and only being vaguely aware of surroundings.* So, anyway, congratulations? Lol . . .
