I was woken up early by my mom coming in and thrusting a paper in my face. My eyes finally focused and I realized it was my SAT scores. I looked down and read . . .
Math: 670
Verbal: 800.

I GOT AN 800 ON THE VERBAL PORTION OF THE SAT!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

*Breathes.*

So that was the beginning of a good day.

My church-going friend shows up. It was very spontaneous, I liked it . . . we went out sailing, came back in, then biked up to the cheap candy store where you can still get a Tootsie Roll for a penny ^_^ . .. and then we got to see a baby raccoon; this lady saved it from the side of the road (its brother was killed, aw, sad . . . ) and she put it in a box and showed us. It was so cute.

Then we went out sailing again . . . we got to the finish line 15 minutes late (there was NO wind) and we actually DIDN'T come in last . . . and we ate a lot of candy on the boat. Then she fell in, when hooking the boat up . . .

It was fun. I need more social time.

Then I went in to town and went to a friend's graduation party. That was fun, too. I had lots of food ("Eat! Eat!" was constantly being demanded from me, lol . . . ). We watched The Real World for a while (lol) and then plugged in the DDR. I played one round and was terrible . . . but that's me. Some of those boys are like awesome. It's not fair.

It makes me miss Japan. Okonomiyaki . . . I was the only girl at my table that night, I remember. The DDR cheered me up. That was the day we did the Hiroshima Peace Museum. Sobering. So we all had to eat a lot of sauce and mayonnaise and noodles and sing and dance really loud in dark rooms with TV screens to take our minds off it. Then we walked home, past it all . . . the bridge, the Sadako monument . . . and then, I think, it was the night we went to the public bath, because it was so late. We all put on our yukatas, nothing underneath, and walked to the bathhouse, and we were worried about the guys peeking over, and it was so warm and summery outside, and the vending machine on the corner . . .

It fills me with an unfillable longing. I sound so pathetic, lol . . . but really, Japan . . . and summer . . . and being 16 . . . and 17 people I'm never going to see all together in one place again.

ANYway. DDR was fun. Talking was fun (my corrupt little brother, woohoo! And Japanese journals, lol . . . ), as was eating. I didn't end up leaving until like 15 minutes after it had supposedly ended, lol, though nobody really left early (or on time).

When it rains, it pours, only this time in a good way. Whenever I do one thing social, I do a bunch. Either that or I do nothing, lol. It's never very spaced out and consistent.

Considering all the watermelon and candy and chips and popcorn I ate today, why am I still thinking popcorn sounds good? I am going to get so fat.

Tomorrow, Shakescenes again.

Mmm, good day ^_^
