"Must-see" is pretty loose for me, since I'm capable of going the holiday season watching no Christmas-themed movies and not even noticing, but my favorite holiday movies are:

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the animated one)
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (the stop-motion one)
Muppet Christmas Carol
A Christmas Story

Growing up we also had a compilation of Disney Christmas-themed shorts on VHS called A Walt Disney Christmas, which I probably watched more than any of the above simply because we owned it and could watch it whenever instead of waiting for it to be on TV. (Though we did have Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer recorded off the TV to a tape, too; it just wasn't very good quality).

I freakin love Muppet Christmas Carol and A Christmas Story. I'm always sad when I find people who haven't seen them.

It amazes me when Americans haven't seen even part of A Christmas Story; I think it took me a while to actually sit down and watch the whole thing in order in one sitting, but with how often they play it on TV during the holidays it's like how can you have gone so long without having every encountered "You'll shoot your eye out!" or the Fragile leg lamp? I consider myself to live in a box-- so that must be one hell of a box!

(Plus, fun fact: A Christmas Story takes place in a fictional town based off Hammond, Indiana, which is only about an hour or so from where I grew up!).

Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island are my favorite Muppet movies. I love Muppet takes on classic novels, lol.

I know, right? I know TBS has been airing for 24 hours on Christmas Day for years now. My family and I like to guess what part of the movie it's at and then turn it on to confirm, hah. We all love it.

After replying to your entry last night, I started watching Muppet Christmas Carol on YouTube XD The most famous alum from my univeristy is Jim Henson and it makes me so proud, haha.
