Do . . . do people ever actually use pick-up lines? Seriously? The only time I've ever heard them used is as jokes, never for real. Allegedly Lisa's dad said to her mom, "I'd ask you about your life, but it only started once you met me" . . . but I think at that point he'd already picked her up (it was like their first date or something?) and was kidding.
If someone used a pick-up line on me, I would laugh, because I would assume it was a joke. Depending on the delivery, I might be more attracted to them because of their sense of humor. However, if they weren't joking, that would be super-awkward and most assuredly have me moving in the opposite direction.
