Living inside a dead hurricane. It's going to be rainy for a while . . . It's like all the force of Gustav exploded, spinning out into a massive, diffused system of weak rain.

Walking to campus this morning was rather unpleasant, especially because there's no drainage on the walkway above forest park parkway. If I didn't need new shoes before, I'd need them now (and a bigger umbrella).

Even massive umbrellas don't help in this kind of rain. Mine's like three feet across and everything from my thighs down still gets soaked. Maybe it's windy, or I walk too fast and generate my own wind, but . . . I need like a personal plastic baggy.

Is she Japanese? She would be Japanese. I don't know if she is or not, but I'm going to go ahead and judge.

Though I don't know why a Japanese person would need one of these, when they all seem to have mad waterproof skills already O.o
