Slalom-Skiing!

You Are 73% Skeptic

While you aren't always skeptical, you generally approach life from a skeptical viewpoint.

You're open to any outlandish claim, but you need proof before you'll believe it.

That being said, you're occasionally willing to go out on a limb and put your faith in idea.

There's a few beliefs you hold because you hope they're true - not because they've been established as true.

What Your Underwear Says About You

You enjoy wearing nice underwear, even if it comes at a hefty price tag.

You're sexy, in that pinup girl, tease sort of way.

Yeah, me and my Walmart panties . . .

I slalom-skiied for about a whole minute today! (That sounds lame, but you try it!). I made it around a curve, too. I was hanging on for dear life the whole time (my back foot wasn't in the binding, just on top-- and slightly to the side, too, which led to me waggling back and forth the whole time)-- but I was there! It should get more comfortable/natural-feeling in time. Woohoo!

Yay for you! You'll have to show me Saturday!

Assuming I can replicate it, lol. I'll practice until then-- but, if anything, you'll get to see some spectacular falls! (So I won't try it while we're double-skiing O.o lol).

Thats exciting! But I have a question: what happens to the other ski when you drop it? Does it just chill until the people in the boat pick it up? and do they try to pick it up when you're on the skis or after?

That ended up being three questions. Sorry. lol.

But yay!

It just chills there. Then, after I fall or make it to shore, the boat goes back to pick it up. The observer has to be vigilant to remember where it was dropped, but even then it can have moved-- and ski companies are retarded; you'd think they'd make the bindings of the bottoms of the skis in bright, flashy colors for this purpose, but, no, ours are completely-camoflagued black.

One time we did have a boat come up and deliver to us our ski. They saw it and picked it up. That's rare, though, lol . . .

Oohh that sounds fun! Wait is this waterskiing?

[identity profile] tabular-rasa.livejournal.com 2008-08-07 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. Lol, I'm not anywhere snowy enough for snow-skiing! I've been able to waterski behind the boat on two skis for a while now, but I'm just learning how to do it with one ski, by dropping it and tucking one foot behind the other while staying upright.
