That's hardcore. I don't know how much I think of myself as a wolf (except maybe the whole Lupin thing :-P). I do like that he's named Albus, though, lol . . .

(Lisa took it and got an ocelot named Apollonius. Do they have anything tiny? I've only yet seen two ocelots, a tiger, and my wolf . . . all taken by girls. Do the guys get like bunnies and monkeys?)

I went in to Student Health Services today, just in case they'd notice something in me that they didn't notice in Lisa. I'm negative for strep (and man did she jerk that sucker around in there, when she was giving me the test-- I almost vomited all over it!), and I suspect negative for mono. So it's just non-flu, non-cold virusness. Blehhh . . .

While I was there, I checked my weight on one of the bathroom scales. Having not eaten much in the past few days, I've dropped below 120 pounds. So now I am eating french fries because they taste bland and are soggy enough to appeal to my consumptive throat, lol . . .

Oh, also, people at WashU should come see Lisa, Indu, Tanya, and I play our quartet piece by Schubert next Tuesday at 8:00 pm in Holmes Lounge. We are second on the program after a quartet involving an oboe (which you would not want to miss anyway!), so if you absolutely must, you can come and just watch us and then leave :-P

Yea! My fellow wolf ^_^ I guess they must not have had a stag, huh? I like the names they're giving them (especially mine, of course-- I'm half Lupin, half Dumbledore!).

Yeah, I don't remember too much from them. Looking back, and reading some background on them now, it sounds like they might be the sort of thing I'd appreciate more as an adult reader anyway-- you know, how Narnia and stories by Madeleine L'Engle were just woot!fantasy when we were ten, but turn into like deep philosophical discourses when we're twenty.

She's a little more on the sci-fi edge of fantasy-- future-oriented rather than past-oriented, but I think she's good. (And by sci-fi it's not so much spaceships and robots-- more like alternate universes/dimensions and time-travel and stuff). We read "A Wrinkle in Time" in 4th grade, which I was confused by then but like a whole lot now. She's written loads of stuff, all of which intertwine (the characters are related, etc-- sort of like our stuff ^_^). Pick up one sometime, see what you think. I can't say whether or not it would be your type of thing.
