I'd be a bad Harry Potter fan if I didn't spazz about the new book title.

The titles are always silly, though, really. Few of the titles have made sense until we've read them. We had never heard of the Chamber of Secrets until Book 2, a Goblet of Fire meant nothing to us pre-Book 4, we hadn't encountered the Order of the Phoenix until Book 5, and though we all had our theories (Dumbledore? Hagrid? Lupin? Mundungus?), was anyone really right about the Half-Blood Prince? In my opinion, none of the titles are really inspiring at first, but they make sense later on and we grow to accept-- if not embrace-- them.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The "Hallows" just makes me think of Godric's Hollow. Not the same word, I know, but the nuance . . . ?

Hallow is a verb. Since Hallows seems to be a noun in the title, maybe they're a group of spirits?
