Bowling Anniversary
Sep. 3rd, 2006 10:54 pmExactly a year ago-- about this time, on the Sunday before Labor Day-- my newly-made friends Keith and Lisa and I were sitting all alone in the dark on a corner by the Tropicana Bowl, waiting for Sush, our RA, to come pick us up, since the shuttles had stopped running and we hadn't noticed on the shuttle. Ahh, memories . . .
In honor of the anniversary of the occasion, Lisa, Keith, Lisa's cousin Nathan, and I went bowling again, today. I kicked ass, basically. I got a 141!-- which was only five points below Keith (it wasn't his best game, but still; damn, I wish I'd just gotten a little bit more! Winning against Keith would be crazy!). I got five strikes total, including three in a row-- a turkey ^_^-- woot!
Of course, once Bowling Club starts, if I go often, I'll suck ass. That's just how life works :-P
We ate dinner at Center Court, and then watched Braveheart. I finished Alexandre's scarf and started on Keith's (yeah, I totally gave up on hiding that whole endeavor, lol . . . ). I kind of want to sketch something now but Lisa and Nathan had to go and leave the common room in which I left my sketch book, and Keith won't be able to answer the door since he is on the phone . . .
Keith, I am making note of your challenge for me to finish my book by the time you are 50, lol . . .
It's crazy that we still have one more day of weekend left! Of course, all this does is just make me used to being lazy and vacation-y-- I am so not in the mood to work!
