(The html fucked up, so: Have you ever thought about using your job for "evil?" What types of things could you do in your current role to cause chaos or destruction? Besides getting fired, what’s stopping you?)

I could teach more than half a thousand Japanese schoolchildren the type of slang which would actually get them shot in the US and disseminate completely fictitious and absurd information about American culture. The hilarious part is it's very likely they would all believe me-- and the native Japanese English teachers probably wouldn't even question it, either. I could also make racist statements and do awkward things like bring up Pearl Harbor and Japan's role in WWII at random opportunities and get everyone uncomfortable and angry.

I think about doing some of these things, like the slang-- I have an evil imagination-- but I'm far too committed to breaking the rampant stereotypes about my culture than making them worse. I'm also trying to discourage the racism that exists in Japanese culture, not reinforce it by demonstrating that it exists everywhere. It's far more of a challenge doing things the way I'm supposed to be doing them!

Also I love that this is inspired by Sims 3. Robert and I were discussing how evil I am to my Sims the other day. (I've only played 1 and 2, but same deal). Apparently there are actually people that only play Sims games straight, always trying to make their Sims happy and successful. I have a few happy families with all their ambitions being achieved, but working on that gets so boring after a while. Bring on the baby mamas, domestic abuse, incest, whorehouses, child mills, and social experiments in which I determine which I discover new and creative ways of killing Sims and see which takes them the longest to die. (See? Evil imagination. Lucky for the world, my evil ideas stay safely in the realm of the imaginary).
