My Computer Has No Holiday Spirit

Could someone please tell my computer that Bing Crosby and The Trans-Siberian Orchestra are not Bad Religion, Ben Folds, The Goo-Goo Dolls, and Green Day? I love them all to death, but, uh, I was sort of in the mood for Christmas music, and when "American Jesus" plays when "Jingle Bells" pops up on my Christmas playlist . . .

I think RealPlayer has something against Christmas. I am about to rename Edmund "Ebenezer."

Hmm, it was Saint Lucia Day yesterday; missed it. I think Hanukkah starts tonight. (Like I said, if I had it my way, I'd celebrate every holiday, ever ^_^).

Saving

This theme has come up a lot this semester. I often have fantasies about being near death, and being found just at the right moment and saved, usually by someone very important to me, particularly if I'm insecure about their feelings about me. I've encountered others who have a consistent pattern with this, too.

Conversely, however, there are just as many (if not perhaps more) of those who have equally vivid fantasies of saving others-- or perhaps specifically someone equally special to them.

. . . and some of you have no idea what on earth I am even talking about. You're welcome in the poll, too, however; you're part of the sample ^_^

It's not related to gender, but it might be related to dependence/independence or locus of control or something. I'm very curious, actually . . .
