Apparently it's supposed to be storming within the hour . . .
Wow. That was the last day of school, really. Huh.
It told me in my horoscope today was a good day to be "nostalgic with those [I] love," or something like that . . . so, you'll have that, lol . . .
I'm actually having TROUBLE being nostalgic. ME.
Mom bought me a music stand for school, and Theme from Shindler's List sheet music and piano accompaniment, because she wants me to practice it this summer and have it down so that I can use it in case of potential orchestra tryouts when I get to college. Also, well, she and Dad just really like the piece-- and I do, too (though, well, an awful lot of people seem to play it . . . )-:). I guess Mom also realizes (unlike so many of my music teachers, who took so long to find out, lol . . . though, probably, because I never just came out bluntly and said it) that I prefer minor pieces (dark or sad ^_^), and, when playing them, prefer them slow. I'm better at taking an easy piece and making it "sound good" than I am at conquering a piece with difficult technique. Maybe that's just me excusing myself for playing badly and being lazy, but, well, I'd rather work on vibrato and the perfect dynamics and changing expressive tempos-- FEELING the music-- than take forever meticulously conquering evil fingerings and bowings. Though, with Shindler's List, there's some craziness with going way up high and finding the right positions so that the bowing isn't completely crazy and crossing three or four strings in places.
Ahh well, yet another project for the summer ^_^ So far: One hour of working on my book, a little review of my Japanese, and some practice time with my violin and Shindler's List (and the occasional piece I yoinked out of school orchestras, lol . . . I'm actually getting pretty good at playing my New World Symphony, read from a yoinked copy . . . I'm so bad . . . )-- every day. I am not going to have time to watch Neil swim all the time. He is going to have to realize this and schedule things around me, lol. Plus, on top of that, I can't be outside ALL the time, even all hours when NOT doing those things, because I am an online junkie and need to feed into that, too, lol . . .
It's really a good thing I don't have a job . . . yet thank goodness I get paid some money for watching Neil and Tory and driving them to all places all over the earth . . . though the payment just barely pays for gas at these prices, lol . . .
PS: I love my new bathing suit. Tiffany, you still have to see the boobage one, lol . . .
PPS: I'm so glad I got so many signatures in my yearbook (and those who are not there yet . . . a few of them I will hopefully catch during Shakescenes this summer . . . ). It's going to mean so much to me later on. It was piddly, my one last year . . . but this one is just so great. I love people.
