I ACTUALLY SLEPT LAST NIGHT!!! I SLEPT FOR A FULL 12 HOURS!!!

I feel so refreshed . . . so happy . . . so alive . . . so free from the pulsing weight at the back of my head . . .

Ahh . . . this is beautiful . . . Thank you, Tylenol PM.

I think perhaps also the lack of stress now continued to add to that, too.

Man, only two more days left of being 17. Then, hey, I can take those ridiculous parental controls off my screenname on the computer!!! Woot!

Lol, that's about the only thing, really, I've been looking forward to for turning 18. That, and voting . . . but the voting thing was only really useful 6 months ago. I really don't need any porn or cigarettes or lottery tickets, and I'd rather be tried as a juvenile for a crime than an adult . . . not that I plan on performing any crimes, but still . . .

Good thing I'm not a guy or I'd have to worry about evading the Selective Service, too. Gaa . . . the Army called me a few days ago and that was difficult enough. I didn't mean to sound rude but I think I did.

I am slightly skeptical about Prom tonight. I'll have people to talk to there, certainly, and I know Nichole and Kristina, obviously, but I don't know Aaron and Nicki that terribly well-- at least not enough to know what they'd like to talk about in an unstructured setting--

I like structured settings because it gives you a theme. You talk about the show when you're in the musical. You talk about how crazy Mr. Briddell is when you're in Orchestra.

When things are unstructured, you resort to your interests, mine of which are pretty much excluded to Social Studies-related topics like foreign countries and politics, literature (particularly Harry Potter and Shakespeare ^_^), philosophy and religion (bad ideas to talk about in light social settings), and maybe a few other things. I doubt there's going to be a whole lot of discussing that going on. It's not like I won't talk about anything else . . . but sometimes topics come up I know nothing about or don't like or just am bored by, and then I just have nothing to say and have to sit and think to myself inside my head which completely counterracts all of the attempts to be social I will have made all night by actually going to Prom.

Well, anyway. If I'm pessimistic now, hopefully I'll be happily surprised, later ^_^
