The Day The Croc-Hunter Died
Sep. 4th, 2006 11:24 amSo I feel I ought to go along with the rest of my friends page and mention that yes, indeed, Steve Irwin is dead. *Sigh.* At least he went down doing something that he loved, I guess . . . I just feel utterly awful for Terry and the two kids, especially the little one, who's probably going to grow up with these issues believing his dad cared more about chasing wild animals than staying around to provide for him )-:
Tiffany called Lisa and I about it at 2:00 am this morning (while we were still luckily chatting randomly about things like "A Midsummer Night's Dream . . . yeah, random . . . ). She was crying and I hear the word "died" and I'm immediately jumping to all these conclusions, like Duchie (her cat) or even like her dad dying . . . and it's even worse for Lisa, because she doesn't even know who it is on the phone, and she's hearing, "WHAT? WHO DIED???" and is thinking "Nancy died? Jamie died?" So, actually, I think we were both kind of relieved, in the end. 2:00 am phone calls are scary!
In other news, I actually have to do some homework, today . . .
