Engineers And Paper-Writing
Jun. 28th, 2006 11:09 pmI find it ridiculous that Lisa completed this entire year without having written a single paper more than one page long! I wrote over twenty papers, each at least two pages-- as many as seven per single class!
This doesn't really bother me, of course-- I like writing papers; in fact, I prefer them over nearly every other form of workload there is. Essay tests are the next best thing, but I am not so hot with multiple-choice (and especially true-false!) tests, short-answer tests turn into essay tests, for me, and God forbid I ever have to do any straight up math homework or fucking WeBWorK, lol . . .
Yet that's astounding that she's never even had to write a single one! Even engineers have to write papers, Lisa (as you have so tragically had to find out O.o)-- maybe they should have made Writing I a requirement for engineers, too . . . O.o . . .
God I miss school. Though I do need to write this book. I am conflicted between wanting this summer to hurry the hell up or stop the freak short in its tracks, lol . . .
(Why does the "Song of the Volga Boat Men" come to mind when I think of engineers? O.o . . . )
(Also, how can one entry on one stupid thing be so freaking long? I prove my point about essay-tests and writing papers, above!)
