Happy Day!

I am in such a good mood right now.

In Japanese, we had a ridiculous Core Conversation for today. Basically, it went as thus:
Girl (I'll call her "Hermione," lol . . . ): Are you going to today's seminar?
Boy: Uh-uh, I'm not going. You got a problem with that? (oh, casual speech! Lol . . .)
Girl: Uh-uh. I don't have a problem with it; it's not my problem-- but you missed it the day before yesterday, too, didn't you?
Boy: Uh-uh! I went!
Girl (*does ponderous, doubtful double-take*): Ohh, did you? *Erupts into ridiculous ebullient giggles.*

Yes, I'm serious; she does giggle. It was perhaps the most amazing, entertaining Core Conversation we've had all year. I didn't do so hot on it, even (I was actually hoping to do it amazingly, so that I cuold do the annoying little giggle in the end, but, after I messed up, I didn't think I ought to-- but that's another great part of my day; I wasn't so stressed out about anything, either!).

In Writing I, we had our visiting writer. She was one of those people who, when they talk, sort of hypnotize you with their voice, so that you're not really paying attention to them, just their voice and the sounds of it. I like it when that happens-- and, since this isn't for very important assignments, and all which are fun (Creative Writing! Woot, woot!!!), it doesn't really matter if I'm paying close to rapt attention, or not (unlike Japanese, lol . . . ). It's just one of those tingly feelings; it's not even like her voice is pretty, it's just that it's hypnotic, lol . . . We worked on metaphors, which are pretty fun to work with, I guess; they're easy, but you can make a hell of a lot out of them, such as allegory, even. I'm rather excited to write my poem, tonight, actually, but I'm saving it until later as a reward (and, also, as I can still write suitably creatively at late at night, lol . . . ).

In Psychology, we're into our third and final unit. It's about Social Psychology, Personality, Disorders, and Treatment-- the units just kept getting better and better, this term. I'm so excited! The teacher seems okay, too; he's rather laid-back and a little quiet, and I'm skeptical about how many details he's actually going to fill in as he talks (which is a problem if he leaves a lot out, as I like to have my new information reiterated auditorily, lol . . . ), but he does fun stuff in class for us to do, which I like!

Anyway, furthermore, the weather is great, and I'm actually in a good mood about it! Oddly enough, it got colder; it actually feels like spring, instead of summer, as it did late last week and all last weekend, lol . . .

Mostly, though, I am also in a good mood, because, on the way back to the dorms from class, I smiled and waved (and had reciprocation! That's the key point, lol . . . ) at so many people, including a bunch of people I kind of know but not completely. It was very, very nice.

I think happiness may be a choice. I think I've decided this before, but I've decided it again.
