As my dad says, there are a lot of idiots out there, and they all seem to have computers.

I think I found more disturbing websites today than any other day (excepting maybe that day I tried doing a google image search for "Remus Lupin"-- I really don't recommend it unless you like seeing a lot of men making out and bloody pictures of a man half turning into a wolf--or, worse, yet, a man bloodily half turning into a wolf while making out with a man)-- and I was at SCHOOL!!! What happened to Bess, man? Lol . . .

Ryan found the first one. We were looking for information to compare and contrast Nixon and Clinton with, and he found a site that said that the apocalypse had come because Clinton's scandal was obviously a sign. I was like, "Um, Ryan, I don't think that's a very reliable source." It was completely typical doomsayer, only WAY too organized to keep me comfortable. There are links, several writers . . . a whole following, apparently. I think these are the people that showed up to cut my head off in that dream where I was Mary. Yipes. Scary.

Then Alice found that totally random site, something about the Olson twins, and then a messageboard about random stuff, and I mean REALLY random, and then that disturbing site about "The Rod," the nylon rope actually on the market specifically for you to beat your children with. That's just . . . I don't know.

The lady at Dollars for Scholars made me mad when she said it was selfish for Memorial to have done a special Memorial Dollars for Scholars auction in Sally Walker's name when at the games they're supposed to be divided up. My mom was like, "Um, I think that was an extrodinary circumstance," and she was like, "But that's like $5000 we got gypped out of!"

Gaa! People and their obsession with money!
