Nov. 5th, 2004 03:50 pmSheesh, I haven't posted in this thing in a while.
I feel loved.
It all started when I got to take my OWN bow when we were practicing curtain call on Wednesday. At first, Mr. Ong said we would do it in threes, and he had Florence-John Thomas (the real one)-Mrs. Paddy, and so I figured I would be with Hannibal and Jeff, but they went out together, and I got to come out on my own, then followed by Mrs. Savage, on her own, of course, too . . . Dan O'Brien was very upset about this. He was all like, "Come on!" when it was his and Erik's turn to come out, and I was like, "But I wait," and he's like, "No, you don't!" and then he asked Mr. Ong, and, indeed, I was right. He was very bitter about it. He kept telling me to hurry up, and go, and go faster, lol . . .
Then . . . dang . . . I was told I was pretty/hot/sexy more times last night than in the rest of my entirely life combined, lol . . .
Some of these are not exact quotes . . . but I'm going from memory as best I can . . . so if you didn't mean to compliment me ^_^
Erik, before the show begins, when I'm not even in my pretty dress: "You look very nice tonight" (to which I think: umm . . . I look like McGonagall gone prostitute . . . )
Sydney (after I change into my dress): "Very sexy."
Erik (after I change into my dress-- again . . . ): "Very pretty."
Tiffany (after show was over): "That dress does make your boobs look big! You do look like a D-cup femme fatale! Even Scott thought so!" (then she points to Scott who sort of plays it off awkwardly ^_^)
Alice: "Yeah, Joey didn't notice that anything was different at first. Then he was like, 'Hey, the kid's real!' and 'the painting's different,' and I was like, 'yes, and the bad violinst guy is playing well, and Amy's sexy.'"
There were a couple other times last night . . . and then people kept saying it was pretty today, too . . . and many did not realize it was a costume.
Even better than the vain glory of being called pretty was being called a great actress ^_^ I'm not just vain, I'm freaking conceited, lol . . . Sra. McClelland was absolutely glowing about how wonderful I was, and she went on about it in Spanish class (and Ashleigh wasn't even there to share to praise!) and made me scream-- twice-- for the class to hear (the second time was so that Sra. Schneider could hear when she came in to borrow some batterues . . . lol). I got so many random compliments from people who I don't know but just saw the play last night, and Alice and Joey thought I was the best ^_^
So, anyway . . . that made me feel really, really good. I feel so loved. As my own character says, "I just feel wonderful when people tell me that they love me!"
However, as pride goeth before fall, I'll probably screw up all tonight.
Wish me a broken leg! You see, one kid wished me good luck, and about five minutes afterward, the back of my skirt ripped open. You've got to be careful about these things.
Ta-ta for now!
