Do you like nighttime or daytime better?: I like them both, it depends on what I want to be doing.
Did you see your bestfriend today?: No.
Do you believe that highschool relationships ever make it?: They do. It's rare, but they do.
Are you ears pierced more than once, if at all?: Not at all.
Have you ever gotten flowers from a significant other?: I think I've only gotten a chocolate flower.
Do you think dances (prom, homecoming, etc) are fun or lame?: Mostly lame.
Do you wear pants or skirts more often?: That's hard for me to answer. I wore practically only skirts for all of August and September, and have started phasing in pants (along with dreses/skirts with tights or leggings). By the coldest part of the year, I'll be wearing only pants. (Or pants x2 plus leggings and thick socks).
If you wear skirts, are you more likely to wear leggings, or go bare?: It depends on the weather. In August and September, I went bare, unless I was working at an elementary school that day and know I would be playing outside with the kids at recess. I have to wear leggings now or I would freeze.
Do you drink tea? Hot or cold?: Not often. I'll take either. I need to let my hot tea cool quite a bit before I drink it, though; I can't just slurp it down like some people.
Have you noticed that EVERYONE is 'bisexual' these days?: Amongst young people, yeah. It actually makes me kind of happy to see. Human sexuality is way more fluid than we realize, and I think it's totally natural we accept that. More power to the people who can admit when their attractions don't fall neatly within the box.
Since when did sexual origins become fads??: Sexual origins? Did you mean sexual orientations? And it's not a fad, it's just that we live in a more accepting age, which I view as a good thing. And if a few girls go experimental lesbian for a few years and settle into heterosexual a few years later, I don't see that as a negative thing. You never really know until you try, right?
Are you a vegatarian?: No. And my iron-lacking body thanks me.
Do you like being single? Or rather be in a relationship?: I definitely prefer being in a relationship. I've spent most of my life single and I know how to do it gracefully, but damn is it nice to have a companion to share my life with.
Are you dependent on relationships to find happiness in your own life?: Definitely not, but I won't deny they help!
Snazzy opinion section on hot button topics. Woo Woo.
Iraq war: fighting for freedom, or killing for oil?: A little of both. While I think it's a misguided mission, there are plenty who are there in the midst of it who believe in the justness of their actions. In which case I say, better them than me because I wouldn't know what to do about any of it. Maybe they can see the big picture better than I can.
Abortion: murder, or a woman's right?: Both.
Gay marriage: abomination of god, or love is love?: Love is love.
Illegal immigrants: taking our jobs, or escaping poverty?: Again, both.
Religion: live by it, or live without it?: Personally, I don't need an organized faith; I seek God by my own path. I can't say how it should work for anyone else.
Randomesque.
Are you online 24/7?: No.
Have you ever been dumped by a boyfriend/girlfriend?: Does 'dumped' just mean 'broken up with?' because, if so, I guess. But it didn't feel as harsh as 'dumping'-- we were at a crossroads and had to make a decision, and he made the call.
Does it bother you when people never answer their cell phones?: No, because am one of those people :-P I turn it on manner mode at work and then I forget to change it back and never hear it.
Do you have cable TV, satellite, or neither?: I have whatever you get if you have a TV in your house in Japan and don't pay for anything having to do with it. I get like five channels, when my TV works.
Are you wearing shoes?: I'm wearing my indoor slippers, which are normal shoes (flexible loafer-like flats) but have never been worn outside.
Have you ever painted? Do you like painting?: Yes. I found paint a difficult medium to work with. I prefer crayons and cray-pas, stuff like that.
Everyone thinks they're a photographer. Do you like taking pictures?: Well now I sound like a douche if I do. But, yes. I don't do much in the way of artsy shots, mostly just scenery around Japan (because it's gorgeous-- my photo skills have nothing to do with it) and photodocumentation of my life.
Do you have a brand of pop?: That I like best? Not really.
What is your all-time favorite movie?: Hard to say.
are you more of a country redneck, or city hippie?: I'm as much one of those things as I am the other, which is to say very little of either.
Not everyone can afford an iPod. Can you?: I could afford to get an ipod right now if I wanted one. I'm considering getting a bigger one, actually, since my Nano just holds 4G.
Are you a dog person or a cat person?: I like both of them, seriously.
Are you addicted to texting?: No, but Robert is getting me more into it since he's a bit of a texter.
Do you text and drive? You know that's completely irrisponsible, right?: No. I don't even drive.
What would happen if you found out you were pregnant?: I'd contact the Pope and tell him we've got another immaculate conception on our hands.
Do you have a favorite aunt or uncle?: No, I don't really know my aunts and uncles that well.
Do you prefer rock ballads or nitty gritty, heavy music?: Both?
Are you old enough to have owned an original Gameboy Color?: I'm old enough to, I think, but I didn't.
Are you wearing anythin you've borrowed from a friend?: No.
Out of all your friend, who is the most obnoxious?: That's an obnoxious question.
Which is more annoying: scene/emo kids, or snobby/preppy cheerleaders?: I'm a bit too old to have much experience with scene/emo kids. Emo was like just starting to be a thing as I was graduating, and hell if I even know what scene is. There's all these videos on YouTube about how to do 'scene hair' and everyone kind of ends up looking like a matted dog.
What''s the most expensive item of clothing you own?: My suit.
Whopper or BigMac?: No preference.
Do you even like fast food?: I don't hate it, I just don't eat it that often. Especially in Hagi, where there are no McDonalds or KFCs, etc.
Are your nails painted at the moment? Iif so,what color?: No.
Have you ever been cheated on?: Not that I know of.
What would happen if you found out you were being cheated on right now?: I'd be pretty shocked and upset and want some explanation.
What time is it?: 3:30 pm.
Do you think dragons and faeries are gay or cool?: (Fairies are totally gay! Lol). I can see the appeal, but it's not particularly appealing to me. I feel like I've outgrown it.
Do you think saying "gay" is very insulting?: If you mean it something other than happy or homosexual, yeah.
When was the last time you played Hide n Seek?: At recess with some kids a couple weeks ago.
Do you file your nails or bite them off?: I am getting so that I file them (most often to keep from biting them), but occasionally I slip and bite.
Are you an outgoing person, or are you more reserved?: More reserved, at least at first. Become my friend, and then just try to get me to shut up.
Did you do anything exciting today?: I rode a boat to school and talked about Halloween to a bunch of middle-schoolers.
You must lose either an arm or a leg. Which is it?: A leg.
You've been totally Bzoink*d!

Spooky Costumes
Do you dress up for Halloween?: Yes.
What are you dressing up as this year?: Assuming I get to celebrate Halloween (school cultural festival is the same day; I have to hope I can make it after that), Hermione-- we're going to do a set of HP characters.
Well thats pretty cool. What's the best costume you've ever seen?: That is a hard question. There are costumes I've been impressed with becuase they were accurate, because they suited the wearer, because they were ingenious, or because they were hilarious.
Wow. Impressive. Ever entered a costume contest?: No.
If yes, did you win, or were you a loser?: N/A.
Do you usually buy your costumes?: I usually buy pieces of things to assemble a costume, rather than buy a set costume. I have bought set costumes, though. I also have a costume-design graduate as a friend.
TRICK OR TREAT!!!
Do you still trick or treat, or do you hand out candy?: I am in the weird limbo where I do neither, because I am too old for the one but also don't own a house, so no one comes trick-or-treating to my place. Also, I live in Japan, where they don't treat-or-treat at all.
Is trick or treat the best part of Halloween?: No, because I still enjoy it even though I don't do it anymore.
Do you usually get/give out a lot of candy?: When I was little, I was only allowed once around the immediate neighborhood, so I never got tons. I thought it was a bit greedy to go after too much; plus, my mom was strict about how much of it I could eat and we often still had leftovers at Christmas. I guess I gave out a good amount when in high school I started giving instead of getting, but it varied from year. Sometimes I saw a boring lack of people.
What do you do with the candy you don't like/want?: Trade it or just don't eat it. Usually someone in the house would eventually eat it, or it'd get thrown out.
What's your favorite Halloween candy?: The plain Hershey's bars and milk duds. You have to have the milk duds. I swear I never eat them any other time but Halloween, but you need them then.
Which is better-candy corn or caramel apple suckers?: Caramel apple suckers, though I am one of the few who like candy corn.
Is it car-mal or cara-mel?: I have a compromise for this the same way I have one for soda and pop. If it's solid, it's car-mel. If it's gooey, it's car-a-mel.
What candy do you usually get the most of?: It varied every year, obviously. Starbursts seemed to be a biggy.
How long does it usually take to eat it all?: As I said, I often had leftovers until Christmas, but I usually was only allowed to eat like a maximum of three pieces of candy a day.
Spooktacular Movies:Have You Seen...
The Nightmare Before Christmas?: Part of it once when I was little and it freaked me out. I really want to watch it again because I'm pretty sure I'd love it.
Nightmare On Elm St.?: Nope.
Scream?: Nope.
Halloween?: Nope.
Friday the 13th?: Nope.
Freddy vs. Jason?: Nope.
Jeepers Creepers?: Nope.
The 6th Sense?: Part of it when flipping through channels on TV. I think I have it on VHS here, maybe I'll watch it.
The Amityville Horror?: Nope.
Poltergiest?: Nope.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow?: The cartoon-y one or the full length live action Tim Burton one? I've seen the former many times, and the latter I saw half of when we watched it in 11th grade English during our horror unit. (I remember there being an issue where a bunch of us could only see half of it, and yet she made us write a paper on it even though we hadn't seen all of it and I was kind of pissed. I think I still did okay on the paper, though. *Shrug.*).
It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown?: Yes.
Halloweentown?: Yes-- the first and the second AND Halloween High. (It was on TV junior year one day when I was in the suite alone, lol).
The Exorcist?: Nope.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose?: Nope.
Did you like my punny title for this section?: It wasn't terribly creative, but foolish puns have never bothered me.
PARTAYZ!!!
Ever been to a Halloween Party?: Of course.
Ever thrown one?: Kind of. I did about half the organizing for the one thrown in Keith/Henry/Mike/Joe's suite junior year. It was in their place, but I think I made the Facebook invite and helped set up everything.
Ever gone to a Halloween party at a bar?: No.
If yes, did you get really really drunk?: N/A.
Are you throwing a party this year?: No.
Are you going to one?: I hope so.
(at a Halloween Party) Have you ever...:
bobbed for apples?: Yeah, way back in like 3rd grade.
played 7 minutes in heaven?: Nope. I've never played this, period.
played spin the bottle?: Nope. Once again, never played period.
told spooky stories in the dark?: Yes.
played with a ouija board?: No. I've always wanted to do a ouija board or a levitation and I never have.
BOO! It's Haunted!
Ever been to a haunted house?: Yes, the kind they set up to be haunted.
Ever been to one that was actually haunted?: Probably, but not actively or explicitly enough that I was aware of it.
Hm...Ever hosted a haunted house?: We made a haunted for Neil in the attic above the garage at the lake. He was totally unfreaked out until Alex reached out of a seemingly innocuous cardboard box and grabbed him at the end.
What was the scariest one you ever went to?: I remember being most scared of my church haunted attic-- mostly because I was little, I'm sure. There was a room with a strobe light, and what looked like a wax figurine in a room full of junk. But then it came alive! Lol, so predictable but it freaked me out.
What made it so scary!: The fact I had never been in the attic anyway-- so maybe they DID keep wax dummies up there, you never know, right?-- and the strobe light making it difficult to detect movement.
Ahh! OMG I almost peed my pants that was so scary!!: Don't patronize me.
Ever been on a haunted hay ride?: Oh yes.
Was it spooky?: No, but it was fun enough.
Did somebody get pulled off the ride, cuz I saw that happen once: I don't think so.
If yes, was it you?: No.
HOLY AMOEBA!!! PUMPKINS!!!!
Do you carve pumpkins?: I did most years I was living with my family, and my freshman year of college. I haven't since-- though part of me wants to carve a lame little Japanese kabocha and stick him on my doorstep :-P
Do you do it the old-fashioned way, or with patterns?: Wait, there are patterns? Hahaha WE were always hardcore, thank you.
Where do you get pumpkins?: I think a couple years (like preschool) I had class field trips to pumpkin patches. Most years, just the supermarket or something. We also got painted pumpkins from Tri-Kappa, the women's philanthropic organization my mom was part of.
Do you gut em yourself or are you a wimp?: Gut 'em myself. Yeah. (Or make Tory do it because I'm not good at it :-P).
Do you eat the seeds?: I think we tried to bake them once, and they didn't turn out all that great.
Interesting. Ever carved a gourd?: No, but we displayed them.
Did you ever notice that some gourds have noses?: Yes.
Ever pick a gourd at the pumpkin farm? I have.: No, but good for you.
Have you ever carved a pumpkin that wasn't orange yet?: Nope.
Ever stepped on a pumpkin and broke it?: I don't think so.
If yes, was it nasty?: Nope.
Random Junk!! WOO
Are you scared easily?: Yes.
Ever TP'd on Halloween?: Nope.
Ever gotten TP'd on Halloween?: Nope.
What about egged?: Nope.
Does your neighborhood have trick or treat at night?: Yes. It's supposed to run for a certain period of time, like 5 pm to 8 pm or something.
(OK, that should've been under trick or treat-sue me!):
Ever been arrested on Halloween?: No. I've never been arrested, period.
Ever had somebody you thought was a decoration jump out at you and say boo?: Yes.
Do you realize this is the 80th question?: No, but thank you for enlightening me.
Ever sat on your roof on Halloween to scare little kids?: No.
Ever seen a white van on Halloween and run away cuz it scared you?: No. It was probably a minivan dropping kids off to trick-or-treat in our neighboorhood because there are some wealthy families who give out good candy.
Ever been scared of something totally unscary on Halloween?: No. I'm least likely to get scared on Halloween because I'm prepared for it.
Was this a good survey?: Sure.
OK, It's Done!: Yup.
Happy Halloween!!: You too.
You've been totally Bzoink*d!
