Early Spring Day That Feels Like Summer!

tabular_rasaLast night was week-after-St-Patrick's-Day party at the Myers suite; I couldn't stay long because of the CBASE in the morning. Keith was going to stay late, but as Lisa, Patricia, Henry, and I left all at once, I guess he felt like he had no other choice, lol . . .
I didn't sleep hardly at all last night; Lisa was out so I had to set my own alarm, and whenever I set my own alarm I basically stay up all night waiting for it to go off, lol . . .
Still, I was functional. The CBASE, meh. The mathematics section took me a while (my calculator was retarded; I gave my good one to Keith, but the stuff wasn't so bad-- most of the stuff I would have used the calculator for wasn't a function allowed-- though, grr, one girl had an illegal calculator for the test!), and a lot of the other sections-- science, social studies and English-- were hit or miss: you knew them or you didn't, instantly. It was definitely a very achievement-oriented test; if you hadn't been taught something specifically, there was basically no way of knowing the answer.
Keith was the first to leave, and I was next after him, about five-ten minutes later. I joined him in his common room (keep in mind, it was only about 12:30! Lol . . . ) for lunch-- which was lime chips, for me, lol-- and we watched an abundance of Scrubs (the show that is always on, for some reason O.o lol . . . ). Then Patricia came over, and we went for a walk, since it was beautiful weather. We did the house walk Patricia and I did just before Christmas break, basically.
After that, Keith had to meet up to work on a project, so Patricia and I got some work and sat out on the lawn in front of Shepley. I did some Japanese practice for Tuesday (It was a psychological questionnaire, in Japanese-- so random! The funniest part was the question that asked "With Americans studying Japanese, do you speak in Japanese, or in some Japanese and English?"-- it was totally an attempt to analyze us, lol, so I was like, "Most of the people studying Japanese that I know are my good friends, and we haven't learned how to say the things we like to talk about in Japanese yet!"), and read some of "Confessions of a Mask" for Japanese Literature (a really good book so far-- I like its voice, like I liked "Kokoro"-- though it certainly has some "awkward" scenes as it traces the adolescence of a boy discovering and then covering up that he is homosexual, lol . . . ). Joe and Beth stopped by and said hi for a little bit.
After that, Patricia and I took another walk, around one of the little gated communities across from Fontbonne. (We saw people at Fontbonne! It was crazy!). Now Lisa and I are preparing to make corn muffins for a potluck we're going to tonight.
Beautiful weather . . . and such a relaxing weekend, actually, considering all the cancelled classes I've had to do work during!
