Yes, I'm a raging V for Vendetta fan.
. . . but, yes, I have (well, skimmed . . . in Jared's apartment bathroom before Keith, um, needed it . . . ) read the graphic novel, and, yes, I did know what Guy Fawkes day was before I encountered it.
(It was the Georgia Nicolson "Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging" books, and "Witch Week" by Diana Wynne Jones. I don't remember which came first. Ahh, youth BritLit . . . )
It's midnight. Um . . . *Stuff blows up.*

Date: 2006-11-05 07:10 am (UTC)At midnight we set off fireworks and lit a bonfire with the overture from the movie blasting in the background. And a friend of mine, Paul, dressed up like V and conducted it like from the opening scene.

Date: 2006-11-05 07:37 am (UTC)One of my friends was going to dress up as V, and me as Evey, and we were going to set off Coke and mentos (fireworks not being allowed on the collge campus, but Coke and mentos easily accessible :-P).
. . . but then, um, our V went AWOL O.o . . .
