There's a part of me that kind of wants to be a saint.

Then there's another part of me that says that's a stupid thing to want, because you're not supposed to want to be a saint; you're supposed to just want to do the things that make you a saint, purely unselfishly (but, then, I ask, if you want it, how can it possibly be purely unselfish?-- and, then, ACK, we're getting into weird philosophy and human nature, lol . . . ).

Then there's another part of me that looks at how a heck of a lot of saints got to be saints (slapping people, and the mark stays on their face? WTF?), and thinks this whole saint business is a foolish load of utter B.S.

I love reading people's random journal entries-- you know, the "Search: Random" function at the heading at the top of your livejournal page when you're logged in (or maybe even when you're not)? They really make me laugh-- and feel good about humanity at the same time. It's sort of like PostSecret. People are angsty and overdramatic and self-absorbed, but you know it's one of those things that everybody goes through-- or else it really is something deep, and you're amazed at the strength with which they confront it (adversity makes men; prosperity makes monsters, lol . . . ). I really am in love with human emotion . . .

I uncovered:
A very devoted Christian girl who ends all of her entries with "God bless!" but appears very genuine and non-superficial; since it's her personal journal, she really can't be that effectively preachy, and she doesn't attempt to be. She uses her journal as her own little ping-pong table of scriptural analysis; it's quite endearing. That's the sort of religion I admire.
Some guy who only posts one "philosophical" line a day-- mostly consisting of, "You Suck." or "You Are Wrong And I Win," provocative, sorts of things, lol . . . I think he would annoy me, but he sort of amuses me at the same time.
A Russian kid with Timon icons, who, according to his userinfo, is very interested in computers.
A frank college-age student with a glittery layout, who details her life from getting her nails done to being denied more alcohol at a bar to being scared after seeing The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
A blank journal (waste of space! Ahhhhh!!!).
An arrogant artist/dancer with a 50-comment Friends-Only page in which he agressively asks those who wish to be friended to "entertain him" and "DANCE, MONKEY, DANCE!!!" and then has fun denying about 75% of them.
A laconic young girl with an internship at Disney (I'm jealous! Lol . . . ).

I'm not reading enough of them long enough to really be stalking them, lol . . .

Which movies have you seen?

("Started It" also applies to movies I only saw selections from, even if not from the very beginning-- or only saw in play form, such as "Twelve Angry Men" and "It's A Wonderful Life")

I am quite impressed with their selection, actually-- and at how many I have actually seen! Some were obvious--Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Godfather, The Matrix, The Great Escape, High Noon, Casablanaca, The Wizard of Oz-- but some were so recent (Finding Nemo, Spirited Away, Amelie) or (I thought) relatively obscure (American History X-- I adored that movie, but I had never even heard of it until I watched it!) that I never would have expected it!

I have to wake up early tomorrow. Blecchhh . . .

There is leftover pasta salad (I bought feta, too...grr $$) as well as biscotti and pie... Do you have time maybe to come by and thief some of it tomorrow? I have insane amounts of things to do, but there is food to be had, so. Yeah. Call or something if you'd like.

DITTO. 10(<3) = Xie. To get this formula, you must add <3<3<3 for Donnie Darko in general + <3<3 for "Mad World" + <3<3<3<3<3 for Jake Gylenhaal which equals 10(<3) which equals Xie. As well, 10(<3)= :). If Amy Jan + Xie= :) :) , then their friendship is equal to 2[10(<3)]= :) :). If this is to be true, then all parties of the friendship must have a 10(<3) love for Donnie Darko or else the friendship does not exist.

This means, you must see Donnie Darko or the friendship formula does not work. Unless we are imaginary friends or something.
