Well, right now　probably Shizuki Park around the castle ruins, since the sakura (cherry trees) are in absolute full bloom, and that is the destination for hanami (flower-viewing) in Hagi, as well as one of the most highly recommended viewing locations for Yamaguchi prefecture in whole. I would also recommend Shizuki Park in off-season as well, since the ruins and the view of Mt. Shizuki and the sea are lovely.

I also really like Kikugahama beach with the gentle waves, blue water, and the view of both Mt. Shizuki and Mt. Kasayama as well as the various islands. Really anything along the Hagi coast, whether you're viewing it from the mountain or volcano, one of the islands, the ferry, or the beach . . . Hagi is a very scenic place on the whole, what with the castle ruins and castle town, beach, mountains, and a couple iconic temples, but I think I love the water scenery best.

Purple, probably a jewel tone purple. While I like wearing pastels, I think of lavender as a rather fragile, delicate color and I think my purple is stronger and bolder. When I am purple, I am pretty unapologetically purple.
