Writer's Block: Dog Day Afternoon

I love hot weather. In the summer I spend most of my time at my parents' lake house, swimming, boating, and soaking in the sun with some chips and a cool drink. If it's not hot out (at least low 80s-- I'm a wimp when it comes to chill, even mid-70s feel too cool for water activities to me), those things aren't fun. When it's really, really hot (90s, and those precious few 100-degree days) I'll get in the water and just stay there for hours-- usually my siblings and the neighbors will join in and it's a great time to bond and play games in the water.
Even on the hottest days, though, I still get in my daily walk-- even if I have to wait until evening (and then jump in the lake afterwards) to do it.
But, ah, have to say: Dog Days starting today MY ASS. It was hotter two weeks ago when it was in the 90s and even the lake water felt like a bathtub; now it's only low 70s and windy and I have to wear a hoodie to feel comfortable. It's supposed to be even worse tomorrow: thunder showers. Great. I love me a good storm (though "t-showers" are usually week and pathetic), but if it cancels my last 4th of July in this country Imma be pissed.
