Because I can't resist a good personality test:

My Personality

Openness to Experience

Agreeableness

Conscientiousness

You do not experience strong, irresistible cravings and consequently do not find yourself tempted to overindulge, however you experience panic, confusion, and helplessness when under pressure or stress. You are not prone to spells of energetic high spirits. You prefer familiar routines and for things to stay the same. You can tend to feel uncomfortable with change. You find helping other people genuinely rewarding and are generally willing to assist those who are in need. You find that doing things for others is a form of self-fulfillment rather than self-sacrifice, however there are times when you believe that a certain amount of deception in social relationships is necessary, however you are mostly candid, frank and sincere. People find it moderately easy to relate to you. You take your time when making decisions and will deliberate on all the possible consequences and alternatives.

So, I know I'm not really a walking ball of sunshine, but I didn't really think that I was that uncheerful O.o . . . (What exactly does a "spell of energetic high spirits" consist of? Is that like a manic attack?)

That's also one of the lowest Extroversion scores I've gotten in a long while. I think maybe at college it was easier to say "I like parties" since it was always just amongst my friends-- technically more along the "small gathering" line . . .

This test recommends I also take:
Stress Management Test
Motivational Behavior Test and
Vulnerability to Depression Test

So I Did . . .  )

Okay, so I'm the one on the Pacific Rim . . . and the Midwest decides to wake from techtonic slumber and kick off a 5.7 earthquake plus an aftershock six hours later and a new 4.7 one two days later.

Which I just witnessed, across the globe.

Talking to Danny:
EmpTyger: (um that was weird
EmpTyger: the apartment is slightly shaking)
EmpTyger: (oh I'm very dizzy
MurasakiNeko42: earthquake???
EmpTyger: ([or]
MurasakiNeko42: do you need to eat something?
EmpTyger: No-
EmpTyger: I mean, I'm just second guessing myself because I'm thikning I'm just tihnking earthquake because of last week
MurasakiNeko42: I heard there was an earthquake on Friday
MurasakiNeko42: yeah
EmpTyger: but, whatever-it-was sounds like it distrubed the guy in the apartment above me

Talking to Keith:
MurasakiNeko42: I heard there was an earthquake last week?
Vanguard115: yeah, there was an earthquake
Vanguard115: another aftershock just a few minutes ago actually

Talking to Danny again:
MurasakiNeko42: you were right, Danny. The room shaking a few minutes ago was an aftershock!!
EmpTyger: seriously? link?
MurasakiNeko42: Keith's screenname?
EmpTyger: LOL
EmpTyger: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsww/Quakes/us2008rcar.php
EmpTyger: 4.5
MurasakiNeko42: the aftershock?
MurasakiNeko42: just now?
EmpTyger: It looks like it wasn't an aftershock- was the actualshock (?)
MurasakiNeko42: different fault?
EmpTyger: maybe? Friday's was Wabash Valley, this one is being described as Ozark Dome

Kind of sad I'm missing the excitement-- but everybody, be safe! Doorways make good places to stand, I hear.
