New Layout

tabular_rasa: (Wherefore?)
I got my sponsered ("Plus") account, and I have a new layout (kind of!-- plus it's still being worked on, a tad!). It looks pretty for me, at least-- the picture on the side fits perfectly on the screen top-to-bottom, and the text boxes line up just perfectly with it, so they scroll right past the picture without touching it. Now, I already know this isn't the case for at least Lisa, so it may just be my browser-- but, really, who's going to actually be looking at the page, besides me?-- particularly since I kept the default entry page, not forcing you to adopt my layout everytime you leave me a comment ^_^

I also have a Juliet moodtheme (hey, Keith-- she looks like me!). Woot! Next step, icons like crazy!

Lunch was amazing!

Japanese wasn't so bad, either, I suppose-- I was mildly awake :-P-- but lunch was amazing. We got out of Japanese two or three minutes early, so Michellanne, Joe, and I take off running for Mallinkrodt. "Hiyaku ikimashou!" "Tabatai, yo!" We knew we would get our pick of the lines, if we got there, early, lol . . .

So we run . . . like crazy. We go barrelling down the stairs and around crowds of lazy people, past strands of orange plastic security fence set up for WILD. As Michellanne, leading, turned past the logia and cut around the corner between the two quads, she let out a great squeak-squeal (rather like Glinda's surprised squeal in response to Elphaba's "Boo!" in "What Is This Feeling?") as she almost barrelled headlong into two men unloading some metal gates. They cracked up-- and we kept going.

We got to Mallinkrodt with dibs on everything. Michellanne went to the Carvery; Joe and I to the Asian line. I got some awesome Shrimp and Scallops-- it was shrimp and scallops, of course, with some potatoes (a great effect, in all actuality ^_^), and some white "Jasmine" rice, with soy sauce, to help it down, with. Mmmmmmm!!!

So, we even beat Keith and Henry, there. I pull up the biggest table, of course, but on the way to our seats, Joe picks up Jessie, from Japanese Literature, and her two friends. Michellanne brings David (and they have the cutest little lovers' spat, about "cuteness," beneath the conversation as everybody else talks on, lol . . . ). Lara shows up, too. When Keith arrives, I found out Jessie is actually the girl from his Fiction Writing class who did NaNo last year (so, now, the question: do I reveal to her that Keith is the one who = Kanaie?-- particularly since she was on Michitsuna's mother's side? Ha, too bad Kanaie's not one of her imaginary boyfriends O.o)! So we start talking about NaNo, and how I should definitely do it, this year. I really need to check on my schedule; I ought to work on my novel (you know, the novel), but November is always such a bad time!

Apparently my online presence is more widespread than I thought-- Jessie says she has an lj, and has seen me, somewhere (she recognized my name, when I gave it to her O.o).

Man, I have some Psychology reading to do. I should probably go do that. Oh, wait-- it's about OCD. I probably don't need to go do that-- but now it sounds enjoyable :-P Ta ta!

We might do our V for Vendetta screening tonight. I wonder if we'll get it organized in time. I don't think I'm going bowling today-- I need to pack for Tiffany's, and get some stuff (including, possibly-- but doubtfully-- some work) done!
