Papa's Birthday and A Great Lake Day
Jul. 9th, 2006 08:10 pmToday was a great lake day.
It was Papa's birthday, and his birthday wish was that his entire family (his three sons and their kids-- and his one great-grandkid) could make it up to the lake for his birthday. So we got the house all organized, and, sure enough, everybody came! In fact, Papa's two brothers, some of their children, and some of their children showed up, in their boat, from across the lake! It was crazy family gathering, unlike the likes of which we've seen since everybody decided they didn't want to hold the Christmas parties anymore . . .
Everyone fussed over the new baby, of course, and there was sailing and waverunning and tubing and skiiing and, of course, eating galore! It was a really good time, and such a beautiful day.
I took some pictures, but my camera battery ran out at an inopportune time. Still, I did get some good shots.
I wrote a great section of my story last night; I actually didn't even get online and only wrote that, until about 2:00 in the morning. Woot!
