Today was Kristina's birthday celebration (though her actual birthday was yesterday), so we go together and went up to the lake.

However, this was not as fun as it could have been, because we had to park at our friend's house a few houses down, as our road was completely torn up, with a backhoe busy scooping out the road as we spoke. The giant sewer pipes cutting across our lawns was gone, but the place was still a mess. Oy vey . . . Oh, sewer construction . . .

So we went inside and had our obligatory (virgin) strawberry daiquiris anyway, and then got in our swimsuits and sunbathed (as my dad puts it, only slowed the construction workers down O.o). I posted pictures on Facebook (including a new feature picture of me, looking like a '40s/'50s pinup girl, and . . . *naked* . . . :-P Oh how I love my very pink string bikini, which practically perfectly matches the color of my skin, lol . . . ).

Anyway, the wall responses have already been legendary:
Jessica: *sings* so so so scandelous.... hahaha nice pic. :-P
Rick: uhhhh.....way to look naked from the small pic....
Anu: You are bad.

Lisa also suggested that I should dye my hair blond, lol . . .

I consider this an interesting sociological experiment. Will those with my naked-looking small tag picture be tempted to visit my page, thinking me truly naked, or will they try to justify it and avoid it? Lol . . .

Anyway, after getting a headache from the perpetual house/earth-shaking construction work outside, we got back into our (far-away, distant . . . ) car and drove back to Elkhart, dropped off Neil and Tory, and then drove to Hana Yori's, the Japanese grill restaurant I had never been to in all my years living in Elkhart, lol . . . The food was very good; I had Teppan beef ("Compare to the famous Kobe beef!" they said in their advertisement-- though I've never had real Kobe beef, either, lol . . . ), medium rare (I have inherited my grandmother's taste for "barely-warmed-over" meat, lol . . . ) with my fried rice combination and soup and salad ^_^ Mmm, Japanese food . . . The show is always a great thing, too; I had never experienced it until I tried that similar grill place in Kentucky with Tiffany, Jessica, Jamie, and Tiffany's family over Christmas break . . . mmm . . .

Then we came home and danced around a while. Woot. We also sang Les Miserables. Also woot. Then Kristina and I sang Evanescence. Also woot. Woot!

Keith go look up airline flights so Lisa can stop harrassing the both of us. Since I know you only read in the bold, after all, lol . . .

Interview
01. Leave me a comment saying "interview me".
02. I will respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature. Or not so creepy/personal.
03. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
04. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
05. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

The Interview )

In other news, I am clearly subconsciously stressing about Music Man tryouts (we're supposed to get a phone call or an email by the end of today stating if we're in or out, or not, but I don't know if we get one if we're not in, so that's annoying . . . ), because I had a dream last night that I was back in high school (as as senior) and Mrs. Glenn and Mr. Ong cast the entire musical without a single senior. So all the seniors (like me, Kristina, Nichole, Andrew, Dan O'Brien, Dan Johnson, etc . . . ) who were those who would have otherwise been in the musical (and leads, probably, too!), were lined up outside the Roosevelt cafeteria (where they were having their super-secret first cast meeting! Lol . . . no place like an elementary school, to do that, lol . . . ), shouting about how the whole casting system was totally unfair . . . lol . . .

I slept in today. It felt really, really good . . .
