This entry does not contain spoilers; it is merely an account of last night and all of its extreme fun, and a chapter-by-chapter log of my progress in the book.

Don't worry; I'm posting the "reaction" page after this, with highly sealed warnings, lol . . .

So it was storming yesterday. Tory and I wanted to beat the storm, so we raced home. We HIT the storm. Yeah. It was like driving in a freaking tornado; I could not see, there was pouring rain washing over us and my windshield wipers did not go fast enough, and we saw lightning strike in the field right next to us. We drove 25 mph nearly the whole way, on 55 mph roads . . . it was scary. I removed myself from the car, shaking.

So Nichole, Kristina, and Tiffany waited a little bit to come to my house. Tory and I watched the weather channel and traipsed around in our outfits. Tiffany showed up, and straightened her hair, and Kristina did my makeup. The costumes were as follows:

Me (Bellatrix): Purple velvet dress with rope tie and medieval, black lace-trimmed sleeves. Long, black Death Eater cloak. Black knee socks and black heeled shoes. Intense eye makeup and whore-like red lipstick. A Dark Mark in pen on my arm that still hasn't come off (thankfully, it doesn't still have Tory's original beady eyes). Hair just bushy and messy; as is.
Tiffany (Sirius): Jessica's black "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" t-shirt with "PADFOOT" printed across the back in cool letters. Messed-up jeans. Gryffindor scarf. Flip-flops(???). Straightened hair.
Kristina (Narcissa): Green "Slytherin Hottie," "Black Power," and "Lucius is Lucious" t-shirt. Jeans (I think?). Flip-flops. Slytherin scarf. Painted green toenails with silver snakes on them (lol!). A little-overdone makeup. Straightened hair.
Nichole (Andromeda): Black witch shirt. Gryffindor scarf. Jeans. Black crushed-velvet cloak. Black ballet-like shoes (which I like, lol . . . I want some!). Hair as is.
Tory (Regulus): Black Spamalot "I'm Not Dead Yet!" shirt. Black pinstriped pants. She originally was going to wear the cloak that Nichole wore, seeing as how it is hers, but opted out, feeling too weird (aww, come on, Tory!).'

So we went, following a truck with lethal (blue?) smoke leaking out of its back engine, to Steak 'n' Shake, and went through the drive-thru twice, since they forgot some of our stuff, lol . . . Tiffany was so mean to them . . . if I were that girl working that booth I would have cried, lol . . .

Then we went in. We got one of the like two last parking spaces in the entire storefront, and were greeted by Kingsley Shacklebolt. There were Weird Sisters, and Fleur Delacour (she was nice; she always smiled at me, lol . . . ), Cho Chang, Madam Hooch, Madam Malkin, Ginny Weasley, Moaning Myrtle (who was really good, lol . . . ).

Two little girls thought I was meant to be a "signer" for the autograph books, but I was honest and said I wasn't. In hindsight, I should have; everyone else did and there were no Bellatrixes, anyway, lol . . .

I think a lot of people just thought I was dressed up goth. Silly, unimaginative Muggle peoples . . .

Okay, now THIS is SAD: I SCARED A SMALL CHILD. We were walking past her, and she looks up at me, up and down, and then curls up next to her mother and goes, "Mommy, I'm scared of them!" I wanted to CRY!!! Yet . . . why is this girl reading Harry Potter if she's that scared of me? Honestly-- the real Bellatrix is MUCH scarier . . . believe me . . . though . . . eh . . . I'll go into it my next entry.

Tiffany and I made wands. We wandered around and lost Nichole and Kristina for a while, but then we sat around and read "If . . . ?" and "Would You Rather . . . ?" books for the whole time. I found a book about Japanese culture that I wanted to buy but waited until it was too late and found it just wasn't worth it, lol . . . I was running around during the countdown to the book distribution trying to figure out what to do with it, lol . . .

Alice and Robert showed up, which was a nice surprise. Robert should have gotten a scar; he could have looked like Harry Potter! Lol . . . Nichole missed the crab face again.

I was in ecstacy getting the books . . . Tiffany and Kristina were 198 and 199 in line . . . I started freaking out and dancing and almost crying . . . Tiffany's like, "Don't have an orgasm in this car!" I read the front, and the first line of the first chapter. Then I waited until we got home.

We watched the "Dragostea Din Tei" video on the computer so that my night could be complete, lol-- and also Nichole and Kristina had asked why there was a random Asian guy with penguins surrounding him for our computer background, lol . . .

So then I finally got read for bed, and read the first chapter. Then I read the second. THAT was a bad idea-- but after looking at the first page, I knew I never could have held it in. I felt sickened . . . utterly sickening . . . but I'll go into that in the next entry, lol . . . I keep almost losing it!!! So I gave it to Tory to read the first two chapters, so that she could console me, but she got tired only after 1 1/2 (and you had to be further than that, too . . . ), and gave it back to me. So I read some more, trying to take my mind off of it, and finally fell asleep around 3:00 am. I slept until 5:00, and then lay in bed until about 7:30 or so, until I decided I couldn't take it anymore. That night had the be the longest of my life, excepting maybe AP exams or some of my birthdays, lol . . . or plane flights, lol . . . With only a break to drive up to the lake, take a shower, and write this, I have been reading ever since.

TIFFANY: YOU HAVE MY HARRY POTTER 3 SOUNDTRACK. I HAVE YOUR PRINCESS DIARIES 2 DVD. WE NEED TO EXCHANGE (and also watch the DVD, lol . . . )!!!

Also-- Jessica, no fair being mad at us for not waiting to read the book! Tiffany said you were. I had to wait a day for Book 5; I couldn't read it at my godparents' house because it's rude and they think Harry Potter is evil. Just don't read any of the next few entries until you do, lol . . . though I except you may opt to read the book before you get online again to read this, lol . . . ^_^
