I'm excited! I managed to mail my screenplays home! Thank you, Mrs. Kasa!

There are two:

THE REASON WHY (yes, yes, I know; retarded title . . . it really doesn't matter what I call it, since it's not really part of the actual book, lol ^_^), a screenplay of a scene that does not show up in my story but is relayed through the eyes of one of the characters (Andy Morimoto) and affects him-- and the book's themes-- throughout the book.

It can be found in the [livejournal.com profile] contained_doily community; if you're not a member there, I'm sorry, you can't read it . . . though, chances are, if I know you, you can join it and I can add you, and then you can! Yea!

By the way, [livejournal.com profile] adidas109, I finally added your writing journal (the [livejournal.com profile] puredreamedjoy one) to the [livejournal.com profile] contained_doily community . . . I hope you haven't forgotten about that journal completely! I'm sorry it took me so long to add it yet!

THE WEREWOLF PRANK, a screenplay of my interpretation of Sirius's prank on Snape the Marauders' 6th year, the one in which he send Snape after Remus during full moon. I'm rather proud of it; Joey said, after reading "Snape's Worst Memory" and then my screenplay, that I seemed to have a good command of the characters. I am getting a big head, lol . . .

Now, this one is on fanfiction.net, and if it's acting funny (for instance, if only one of the chapters loads even though I've got two loaded), I can't be blamed for that. HOWEVER, be aware that I have only posted two chapters, and you will have to go back and check periodically for the rest of them; I am a comment-whore and have to do this, so that more people will have a chance to be exposed to them on the "Just In" list. I'm very sorry about this. If you really want to read the whole thing in one fell swoop (oh please oh please oh please), I can mail it to you, or, if you ask, I can post it in[livejournal.com profile] contained_doily[Bad username or unknown identity:  allows anonymous comments; comment on it if you like-- because I like! ]

[Bad username or unknown identity: Please read them! I will love you all so, so, so very much! Feedback makes me love you EVEN MORE!!! ]

[Bad username or unknown identity: I want to psychoanalyze you. Therefore, please read it! Please?]

[Bad username or unknown identity: As for today, it was fine. They didn't play that ad again, lol . . . ]

Speaking of screenplays, I went to NHS Tutoring after school, and Caitlyn, Austin, Andrew, and Chris were there . . . and Chris suddenly started telling Andrew about this idea he had for a movie. The movie idea was pretty simple, but, well, had potential: A man takes his rights for granted (never says the Pledge of Allegiance, doesn't support the President, doesn't like the War on Iraq, etc, etc)-- basically, he's "unAmerican" and "unpatriotic" in the conservative sense of the word, but he is drafted to go fight the war, and is taken hostage. I'm not sure what all the exact details were, but Chris was going to take all his rights away while in captivity (he can't pray-- Freedom of Religion-- he can't say anything-- Freedom of Speech-- etc, etc . . . )and then either wanted to kill him off (I thought that was best) or have him come home reconciled after some profound moment in which he says the Pledge of Allegiance or something symbolic like that. I was for the martyrdom (you know me)-- I suggested he have his protagonist beheaded on national television while reciting the Pledge as he goes down; it would really hit home and be really symbolic.

It was kind of fun to plot that with him and Andrew, though basically they both just listened to my ideas, were impressed, and then went on together making plans to actually write it that didn't include me. I mean, I'm not really their close friend, so I can't complain, lol, but still . . .

I mean, I have a lot of good ideas on the subject. I know what's touching and what's not. I've got that feminine edge, lol . . . and I understand patriotism and fanatism, seeing as how they both fascinated me.

I warned them not to make it too sappy or it would be total propaganda. I said I preferred to leave things ambiguous.

I also told them that I had already touched on a lot of those subjects-- though a lot more ambiguously-- in my novel, and even in my screenplay, which Andrew still needed to finish. He started reading it at one point, and I really wish he'd finish it, because, well, I'm proud of it, and I want the people who have started it to finish it (like TORY . . . *cough*! POSITIVE FEEDBACK, WOMAN!!!), but I feel kind of rather bad because he's writing a screenplay, and (though his is probably a full-length movie) his isn't done, and, well, that's his forte. I go on about my novel AND my screenplay, and I probably make him feel inadequate. I know you don't read this, Andrew, but I'm sorry.

Anyway, the point of this, besides that it had something to do with screenplays, is that I've never really talked to Chris, and I never really knew he had any aspirations or inspirations like that. I was rather impressed-- albeit a little disturbed. I realized while talking to him that he's one of those people that, when impassioned, stare right into your eyes and are sort of hypnotic as they speak to you, the way I have Andy in my book. I've only known a few people that are like that . . . Joey tends to do that (or at least I feel guilty if I don't look at him), and Robert and Nichole can both do it when they're really speaking seriously. It's an interesting gift to have, pulling people in with one's eyes . . .

Anyway, Chris was so passionate about this it almost made me wonder if he was brainwashed-- or at least highly indoctrinated. Yet he either would have to be fanatically brainwashed (the scary kind-- the kind I like to study, lol . . . as opposed to the usual "brainwashed"-- the so inculcated it is simply blind habit and cannot be defended), or else he's truly, genuinely passionate, which I respect. Plus, it's not like I write him off as an overzealous patriot; his focus on American rights-- rather than just America itself as a "thing," like a god, which one worships simply because it is-- impressed me. His movie could work. Good luck to him on that, should he choose to pursue it.
