I am feeling really very overwhelmingly uninspired today.

. . . though it is still morning.

Maybe our quartet will pull together by contest. It all really just depends on how well we play that day, and how well we remember to do our dynamics and stay together.

The solo is still crap, though.

At least after that, it'll be nice not to have to worry about it anymore-- since, you know, I won't be going to State.

I'm not bringing my violin home and practicing for a week. Too much orchestra. Gaa . . .

This is for the safety of my violin. Otherwise I just might have to kill it (her? him?).

I only cheated at one part in Marche Slave last night. It's my favorite part and I just can't play it that high or it sounds bad, but I played all the other octavas! I'm proud of myself (AND YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING, JESSICA, BECAUSE YOU CHEATED AT THAT PART IN TOCCATA AND FUGUE THAT I DIDN'T!!! ^_^ Lol . . . Though, erm, it's not like I sounded any better . . . ).

I'm so pathetic. Sheesh. Lol . . .

I designed an entire house yesterday. It is three stories high and has lots of secret passageways and maid staircases and things within it . . . it's very Victorian. It's for the story idea I'm working on with Tiffany and Jessica, but Tiffany got her panties all in a twist (I haven't used that expression in a while, so I thought I would, lol) because she wanted to help design it, but, you know what, I spent a whole hour of Economics paying minimal attention, and part of vocal musical rehearsal, too, designing that thing! It has all the elements we need, and it's exactly how I picture the house.

In good news, the chorus finally remembered to shut up in the part where it's just Dolly, Cornelius, Barnaby, Ambrose, and me singing in our little solo dance. Dolly was gone, so I was the only girl, and after we got done, Mr. Niederer said "Ermengarde rocked that!" or something. It was awesome, because, you see, I can't sing.

I then went and blew the high notes right after that, though, completely . . . I need to learn the alto part in that section. I sing the tenor part everywhere else . . . or just whatever happens to fit the chord at that moment.

In interesting news, there was a showdown between Brock (kid who plays Ambrose) and Joey in Creative Writing yesterday. I get to hear both sides of the story, because I sit by Joey, and, well, Brock is freaking annoying in Creative Writing, plus he sucks up . . . but I get along with him at musical rehearsal, though he DOES like to be an ass to any boys who are older than him (in Creative Writing, it's Joey; at musical, it's Dan). Joey didn't even snap on him (which he's done before); he just called him a retard. At first Mrs. Hook thought he was talking about William, and if THAT had been the case, she wouldn't have cared (which gave us all a kick out of that), but when it turned out he meant Brock, she made him go up and "apologize."

Don't teachers realize that only makes things worse? Honesty. I don't trust the judgement much in that woman. *Sigh*

So Brock was all gloaty yesterday in musical rehearsal.

He didn't realize that Joey still had the last word. As he went to sit down, William was like, "How come it's okay if you call me a retard, but not if you call him one?"

Joey said, "Because you really aren't a retard."

Brock just heard the random laughing, I guess, lol . . .

The whole thing just amuses me. Anyway . . .

I should probably head on to school or something. Yeah, school . . .

I had a dream I went away to college. My dorm was really big, and it had this neat wooden bureau in it. It won't be like that when I go away, really.

It's kind of depressing. Is there good food (like the kind that won't make you totally fat?) anywhere on campuses in college? I like eating food too much to just EAT LESS. I have to eat the same amount but of calorieless things. This could be a very definite problem in college.
