Check out the awesome picture we got from the Balls:

Heehee . . . remember the incident from Monkey Run Road? I'm the attractive babe in the duck hat.

Tory would like to point out her awesomely "uber-hott" boyfriend she hung out in the back seat with O.O. She's the one in the orange hat.

I went to my Georgetown interview. The guy was nice. He apparently knew Papa in high school. However, interviews count for very little, apparently, lol, though seeing as how they have alumni do it that makes a lot of sense.

I wish I could find the confounded thank-you cards I made for Mrs. Smith and Mr. Johnson and my counselor, and then I could use the stationary to make a thank-you card note thingy for that man, too . . .

I think it's sad how no one knew the Christmas songs they played at the award breakfast this morning. I mean, come on . . . "Do They Know It's Christmas?" by Band Aid, and "Merry Christmas (War Is Over)" by John Lennon (and Yoko Ono and those crazy kids that sing better than she does in the background)-- those are classics! How can you people not know them!

I think I completely turned Alice and Robert off to ever liking "Merry Christmas (War Is Over)" by pretending to be Yoko Ono at Alice's house on Sunday. Seriously, that woman sounds like a cat being stepped on . . . or a hair dryer . . . or a cat under a hair dryer, being shocked . . .

Dad has some record of hers and John's . . . he bought it for John, but it features Yoko. One song is entitled "Don't Worry Kyoko (Mommy's Just Looking For Her Hand in the Snow)" and I was like, "Hmm . . . somebody is tripping . . . or something . . . " but Tory and I determined that it was more appropriately titled "PMS-ing Cat Takes a Bath." There was a struggle period, full of violent shrieks from Yoko, as the cat was put in the bath. . . and in the end, there was the steady lull of a hair dryer as the cat was dried off . . .

Hey, at least it's lyrical, lol . . .

Anyway, I was reading an article today on that "Do They Know It's Christmas?" song. Apparently there's going to be a remake of it, but Africa (yes, the whole entire continent of it) is pissed off at it, because the lyrics are offensive and suggest that Africa (yes, the whole entire continent of it) is depenent, weak, helpless, and incapable. It also suggests a lack of religion.

Lol, we are all too darn politically correct . . .

Aparently it's supposed to raise some funds for the famine in Sudan . . . but some economists (or some other smartsy people) are saying that it's actually hindering help, just giving them money like that . . .

Anyway . . . the song in question:

Do They Know It's Christmas? )

I still have a sore throat and I am pissed off about this. I don't want to be sick for Switzerland, thank you very much, you know . . .
