I feel like Cinderella.

. . . only without the whole prince thing.

I felt very pretty last night, but, as I said, pointlessly so. Mom's friend Kirsten did my hair, and it was cool, and actually CURLY, which was crazy . . . and we hairsprayed it with so much stuff that it was stiff as a rock, but anyway . . . lol . . .

I got like fifty million compliments. I am going to have a big head now. Joey told me when he first saw me that I looked nice, and then later he was told me I looked too damn cute. Alice said she was jealous-- but I thought Alice's awesome was awesome; she looked so 1920s and reminded me of that chick from Chicago, with her bobbed hair and the bangs, and the black dress with the low waist. Vidhi, Tracy, Kylie, Laura, and Sydney all said something nice about it-- as did Dan Johnson, lol. Karen freaked out; she was like, "Amy! I have never seen you look so gorgeous! If I had a camera, I would take your picture! Oh! Dan O'Brien has a camera!" *Pulls over Dan* "Take Amy's and my picture!" and he did . . . and then she said she was going to have to call me Sexy Amy from now on, and Joey agreed that he would, too, lol . . . and then I went to get my cookie, and she called me back, and she had Rob, and she goes, "Rob, doesn't Amy look stunning?" and Rob goes, rather expressionlessly, "You look stunning." It was pretty funny. Lol, Rob cracks me up. Dude, even Amanda said sincerely that I looked nice. That's crazy. Then Mrs. Berheid ruined it by telling me I was very pretty . . . and that my dress was "very appropriate." Agghhh . . .

My memory is too good. This is just pathetic.

So now I'm sitting here in pants that are too big for me and a t-shirt; my hair is wet, and frizzy, and I have my glasses on. *Sigh* I felt gorgeous for a couple hours . . . there wasn't much point . . . it just made me vain, lol . . . I guess I have to be shallow some of the time.

The dance turned out to be fine, for me, anyway. I hung out with Nichole and Kristina and Amanda and her boyfriend who looks like Sirius Black. We took pictures and played cards with Robert, and just talked to people. We tried dancing a little bit, but no one was really dancing. We did the Cha-Cha Slide, but that was about it, lol . . . that song is the most boring think I had ever heard played on the radio . . . you can't listen to it unless you're DOING it, you know?

I just finished my JFK paper and now I have to figure out what to get Jessica for her birthday before 4:00 today, lol . . .
