My Dance Dress and Master and Commander
Nov. 20th, 2004 07:52 pmOh . . . I seem to have swooned . . .
Check out the fabric of that dress! Isn't that fun?
Now all I need is a date . . . *cough* . . . apparently. I'd be perfectly fine just GOING, but no . . .
Well . . . it would be fun to have a date . . . just not . . . a date to have for a date's sake, you know?
Too bad I don't have Fairy pictures yet. We still have to develop them. Speaking of which, I watched my copy of Guys and Dolls today. They don't show me in all of the "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat" scene!!! I was doing stuff!!! JUST because I wasn't part of the BIG dancing group of gangsters!
Ah well . . . at least in the Curious Savage tape, I'll HAVE to be focused on. I just hope that when I order it, Mr. Ong will actually mail to me . . . because, otherwise, I will not ever get it. I will have to send Tory out after it or something.
I watched "Master and Commander" today. I was impressed. Very good job on the battles and the ship and the realism . . . and-- I had to point this out to Neil, just to get him to roll his eyes and look disturbed-- many hot guys. Of course, all of the important ones DIE . . . but that's beside the point. Dad recommends the book series, anyone who enjoys the movie . . . he read the books (and I remember him reading them-- he always went on about how the doctor playing the cello and the captain playing the violin reminded him of Alice and I . . . so it would have been back like in 5th, 6th grade).
Amazingly enough, it DOESN'T have a love interest. Actually . . . there are no girls. How do you like that? Yea for movies that DON'T follow formula.
I suppose weird fanficcies will ship the doctor and Aubrey . . . but *sigh* there's just too much of that.
They used "Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis" for all the deaths . . . I wonder, though . . . what is the original theme? I have never heard it.
Vaughn Williams makes very swell-y music. I like it. It's very romantic.
