I don't really feel like going into my whole weekend. It was too long. I saw lots of monuments. I got an idea for Original Oratory inspired by the man who wouldn't let me pee at the Lincoln Memorial (as I approached, I tried to think of something I can march on that hasn't been done before, lol, like racism-- or pro-racism, like the KKK-- and such . . . and I came up with rights for incontinent people, thanks to the man who wouldn't let me in the bathroom . . . and since that's stupid, I'm just going to make it some sort of ridiculous speech . . . that really does have a point).

I did see a squirrel on every college campus, including one INSIDE. It was crazy. They just let it in there.

I am listening to my Les Miserables soundtrack. The chick who sings Eponine has a very whiney, almost childish voice, and yet very jazzy . . . it fits her, but it's almost over the top. I guess on Broadway it fits, because, well, it's Broadway. Plus you can be over the top on Broadway, because you're in a dark room with a stage and it's all about the show and nobody cares about looking stupid or overdramatic.

I particularly like this song, with all of the intertwining themes and such. I love that book so much. I really want to see the musical.

I'm tired.

My Halloween consisted in eating a popcorn ball and a couple Kitkats while wearing my Juliet dress and watching half of a thing on the Salem Witch Trials (which was all stuff I knew before-- hence why I turned it off . . . ) and doing my homework on the Inferno, which I couldn't do in the car, because it made me sick. I knitted almost a whole scarf in the car, and wrote a parody. That was about it. I listened to a lot of music.

I'm jealous of Tory getting to go off with Maria and Christina and Sam and Katie and them (a few of whom I inspired with my 12 Grimmauld Place thing which never happened )-:). I got to be Juliet, who's on an equal plane with Bellatrix-- but all alone, which is not an equal plane.

Oh, I did get to go to a cool Asian restaurant last night, though in no costume. That was nice. They had good tempura udon, and there were lots of hot Japanese boys there, including one who had his shirt open.

Heehee, I think that may be the shallowest statement I have made in my life.

It kind of makes me sad how popular Japan is becoming. It's my uniqueness! Stop stealing it, pop culture! Leave the anime and electronics and kimonos to us nerds who appreciate it!

Okay, so I shouldn't be discouraging this cultural exchange, but it's just that when they WESTERNIZE it . . . or when some chick walks around in a kimono with it wrapped backwards, or passes things directly from chopstick to chopstick . . . people need to get educated before they try it. I don't pretend to know anything about Italian culture or Middle Eastern culture (if that became a fad . . . ?) or anything like that; I would learn the real stuff before I try the chintzy impersonations.

I'm kind of sore from walking up and down all of those hills in Washington. Is that pathetic or what? Of course, I was wearing crappy shoes for it.

You know, need-based college aid is very Communistic. They will supply 100% of demonstrated need. Hmm, does that not sound the least bit like "To each according to his need?" It's punishing people whose parents work hard, lol . . .

I sound Rightist for once. That's very unusual.

Personally, I think they should teach us more college stuff in high school, because a high school diploma doesn't give you squat anymore, and so you HAVE to get into college if you want to make ANYTHING of yourself. So why don't they just make half of college education free, and in high school, so nobody has to worry about it anyway? They're paying for it anyway.

Alice called me from Robert's house and asked me randomly if there was a girl in Bambi. That was pretty funny.

Have I anything more to say? Probably . . . but I can't bother writing it all down now.

"You must remember this, a kiss is still a
kiss". Your romance is Casablanca. A
classic story of love in trying times, chock
full of both cynicism and hope. You obviously
believe in true love, but you're also
constantly aware of practicality and societal
expectations. That's not always fun, but at
least it's realistic. Try not to let the Nazis
get you down too much.
