CASSIUS: Brutus hath rived my heart:
A friend should bear his friend's infirmities,
But Brutus makes mine greater than they are.

BRUTUS: I do not, till you practise them on me.

CASSIUS: You love me not.

BRUTUS: I do not like your faults.

CASSIUS: A friendly eye could never see such faults.

BRUTUS: A flatterer's would not, though they do appear
As huge as high Olympus.

Ahh, the timeless battle between proactive and unconditional love.

I don't know why I felt the need to put that; I was feeling Shakespearian today, lol . . .

So nobody I knew died, I don't think, in that string of storms. It was quite scary, though, actually, to see that at one point they were all lined up: Elkhart (me), down to Indianapolis (Patricia and Anu), across to Springfield (Kelsey), down to Decatur (Tiffany), down even further (though mostly earlier) to Kansas City (Lisa) and St. Louis (the school itself). I IMed Keith at one point (he wasn't there; heh, what a fun apocalyptic message to return home to, lol) and was like, "DON'T BOTHER GOING BACK TO SCHOOL; THE SCHOOL WILL BE GONE AND ALL THE REST OF US ARE GOING TO DIE!!! AHHHHHH!!!" Heh, I was really tired . . . and having way too much of an adrenaline rush from the combination of the Tornado Week shows, live coverage from tornado-stricken areas, the panicky phone calls from Tiffany, and the present storms booming above my head.

Ah-- knew you were somewhere nearby, though . . . basically, anyone in the Midwest got rained on. Patricia doesn't live in Indy, either, but it was close enough :-P

Update on Lawrence, Kansas: My cousin goes to school in Lawrence, at KU. Sunday night tornados (or maybe just high winds) caused $6 million worth of damage to campus. One building was completely shut down and many others have limited access. The air conditioner on his dorm was blown off and many windows broken. Luckily, he was in Kansas City at the time. Classes were cancelled for him yesterday to clean up the streets and get things in order.
