Happy Talk Like A Pirate Day and Happy Birthday, Hermione!

The Books in Order from Favorite to Least Favorite:

1. Deathly Hallows.
2. Order of the Phoenix.
3. Prisoner of Azkaban.
4. Chamber of Secrets.
5. Half-Blood Prince.
6. Goblet of Fire.
7. Sorceror's/Philosopher's Stone.

Number of Times You Have Read the Series: It is useless to attempt to count. I've never sat and deliberately read the entire series cover-to-cover, and I in fact very seldom deliberately read one whole book. These books tend to sit out on prominent locations in my house, so I tend to pick them up and read random passages. Obviously, my favorite parts get precedence, and I've read them to a staggering extent; I've practically got the chapter "Snape's Worst Memory" and bits of Lupin's three-chapter monologue in PoA memorized (and I expect "Kreacher's Tale" and "The Prince's Tale" from DH will get up there soon :-P).

Favorite Chapter from Your Favorite Book: I love flashback chapters. "Snape's Worst Memory" and "The Prince's Tale" are my two favorites. (Though I do also love Lupin's discourse on the Marauder's history, and the backstory we get about Regulus in both "The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black" and "Kreacher's Tale"-- it's just more fun to actually see it, you know?)

Five Favorite Characters: Albus Dumbledore, Remus Lupin, Bellatrix Lestrange, Moaning Myrtle :-P and Severus Snape (who is in fact the most interesting character in the series).

Three Least Favorite Characters: Crabbe, Goyle (I could almost count them as an individual unit, they're so useless), Lord Voldemort (so boring for a villain!), and . . . hmm, I really can't think whole else. They may annoy me, but are necessary for the plot.

Favorite Member of the Trio: I relate most to Hermione, but perhaps because of that, lol, I've always been very fond of Ron.

Three Favorite Magical Creatures: Hippogriffs, unicorns (I'm such a girl, lol) and phoenixes.

Favorite Family: The Blacks.

Favorite Villain: Bellatrix Lestrange.

Favorite Death Eater: Bellatrix Lestrange. Bad-ass psychotic bitch, everything I am not. (Except for maybe the psychotic part?).

Favorite Non-Hogwarts Magical Building: Uhh . . . the Shrieking Shack?

Favorite Diagon Alley Location: Flourish and Blott's.

Three Favorite Spells: I like the oldschool, silly, useless spells, like Tarentellegra and Waddiwasi. Also, Finite Incantatum-- don't ever roleplay a duel without knowing it :-P (Though, honestly, I think Legilimens is my favorite. Also, it's a wonderfully cheat-y plot device :-P).

Three Favorite Potions: The Polyjuice Potion is immensely useful, the Wolfsbane Potion makes me happy because then Lupin isn't in pain as much, and Veritaserum because making people tell you the truth is always fun.

Favorite Unforgivable Curse: Imperius. It's like hypnotism! It's the only one, too, that's much more difficult for Muggles to come up with a consistently comparable procedure for.

Favorite Department of Mysteries Room: The brain room, simply because Tory was convinced it was called the "Brian Room" for the longest time O.o

Biggest Surprise: Lily and Snape were buddies in the day! I knew he liked her, but I never would have fathomed it going so far back!

Biggest Letdown: We didn't find out if Ted Tonks was a newscaster! Also, Lily was the younger sister. God fucking dammit. Let the oldest kid get a fucking chance to be the pretty, sweet one, for once!

Favorite Mode of Transportation: Apparating. OMG if only I could do that . . .

Favorite Weasley: Oh, God, terribly hard question . . . I'll go with Arthur, just because in real life I think I would get along best with him.

Favorite Order Member: Remus Lupin.

Favorite pet: Fawkes.

One Character You’d Bring Back to Life: Fred, because solemn death just doesn't seem to suit him.

Moment That Will Always Make You Cry: The part in the woods where Harry is talking to the *ghosts* of James, Lily, Sirius, and Remus.

Favorite Hogwarts Room: The Room of Requirement, because it can be anything!

Favorite Class: I would probably like Charms, best . . . or Divination, because I am good at BS-ing :-P

Favorite Teacher: Remus Lupin or perhaps Professor McGonagall.

Favorite DADA teacher: Remus Lupin-- wasn't he the only remotely useful one?

Least Favorite Teacher: Okay, Snape, I love you dearly as a character, but if you were my teacher you would make me cry, all the time . . .

Favorite Non-Human Hogwarts Resident: (Anybody remember Sir Cadogen? He's not my choice, but just wondering . . . ) Does Moaning Myrtle count?

Favorite Hogsmeade Location: The Hog's Head. Aberforth cracks me up.

Favorite Triwizard Champion: Cedric Diggory. Yeah, Hufflepuff! We can kick ass sometimes, if our getting nice doesn't get in the way . . .

Favorite Triwizard Task: The second.

Which Character You’d Ask to the Yule Ball: I'd be too afraid to ask anyone; I'd just be pathetic and wait for someone else to ask me.

Which Character You’d Like to Use a Love Potion On: *Shrug* They're all neatly off in their little relationships; I don't want to fuck with that.

Which Character You’d Like to Use Veritaserum On: Albus Dumbledore or Severus Snape. Then again, they pretty much told us everything, anyway.

How Long You Have Been a HP Fan: I read the first book in February 1999; I was 11 (Harry's age, aww!).

Favorite Wizard Rock Band: (How many do we even know?) Celestina Warbeck, even though she's not exactly rock, because I picture her sounding all croon-y and '40s and I like listening to that sort of thing around Christmas like Molly, too.

Number of Midnight Releases You Have Attended: One book, two movies.

Favorite HP Website: I'm gonna say Lumos, the collection of lj communities I'm in. I like them based on interaction and participation, not just particular people writing their theories and such. (I'm still bitter just because he had web knowledge that Emerson kid got to meet JKR and all that jazz. Also that I never met him, because he grew up about 30 miles away from me and would have been in the same Speech meets O.o).

Most Ridiculous Potter Theory You’ve Heard: Neville is Peter Pettigrew's son. WTF? We know who his parents are . . .

Character You’re Most Like: There are quite a few, I expect. I think most obviously and most accurately, Hermione Granger, but I can resemble Moaning Myrtle when I feel insecure and

House You Think You’d Be Sorted Into: I would have been Ravenclaw at age 11, but now I'm pretty darn Hufflepuff (Ravenclaw is still like 40% up there, though!).

Your Patronus Would Be A: I'm not really sure. Perhaps something strikingly big and protective, in comparison to a probably relatively meek Animagus.

To You, Amortentia Would Smell Like: Was it Hermione who said "That's personal?" Lol . . . A lot of it would be the varying smells of seasonal air, actually.

You’d Use Felix Felicis To: Pack as much luck-related stuff as I could into one day, or course!

The Job You Would Most Like to Try: Hogwarts professor :-P

Which You Would Rather See — a Sequel or a Prequel: I would rather see a prequel, but based on what I've read in the fandom I seem to be the only person that writing a prequel about the Marauders, Snape, Dumbledore, or Tom Riddle would RUIN THE ORIGINAL SERIES. OMG. Half the plot of Harry Potter series is finding out those very backstories; you can't go into the series knowing them already! Honestly, I think she can stick to the world she's created, but write about a time period and characters completely unrelated to her series.

The Movies in Order from Favorite to Least Favorite:

1. Order of the Phoenix.
2. Goblet of Fire.
3. Prisoner of Azkaban
4. Sorcerer's Stone.
5. Chamber of Secrets.

EITHER/OR...

Animagus or Metamorphmagus: Metamorphagus. In the context I live in, a human disguise-- and one that's variable-- would be more relevant.

Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans or Chocolate Frogs: Chocolate Frogs. I like predictability-- and chocolate.

Black or Lupin: I love the Black family to death, but Lupin.

CAPSLOCK HARRY or Emo!Harry: Emo!Harry, though, honestly Harry and his emotional trauma can stuff it.

Death Eaters or Dumbledore’s Army: Okay, Death Eaters infinitely more glamorous.

Draco or Lucius: Lucius. Slightly less of a pansy, and seems to have a little more fun facing moral conundrums.

Durmstrang or Beaubaxtons: Durmstrang. I would like to add that neither of these were single-sex schools, either, as they portrayed in the movies; Parvati and Padma clearly go hit on boys from Beauxbatons while at the Yule Ball. Plus . . . where would Bulgarian girls and French boys study? The other school?

Floo Powder or Broom: Floo Powder.

Fred or George: Fred. I was always Fred when Tory and I would pretend to be them.

Grimmauld Place or The Burrow: Grimmauld Place, but only in theory.

Herbology or Care of Magical Creatures: Care of Magical Creatures. It sounds less boring, and sometimes the animals are cute.

Hippogriffs or Thestrals: Hippogriffs. If anything, I can see them right now.

Invisibility cloak or Pensieve: Pensieve. Oh man, do I want one of those!

Mermish or Parselmouth: Neither of these is very useful for me, but I'm tipping towards Parselmouth because it sounds more useful in the books-- and also one has to be born with it, where Mermish can apparently be learned. Then I can have both!

Occlumency or Legilimency: Legilimency! I want this, anyway. I am anything but private, but I am oh-so-nosy. (Lol, Keith is the epitome of non-magical Occlumency; if we were wizards, he'd learn it and we'd be right back where we started from . . . ).

Peeves or Nearly Headless Nick: Nearly Headless Nick wouldn't destruct things or be annoying, and he's rather nice about answering questions if you're not obnoxious about his head-neck lack of separation . . .

Peter Pettigrew or Mundungus Fletcher: Peter Pettigrew. I like analyzing his character.

Professor Binns or Professor Umbridge: Professor Umbridge. So ironically sweet and sadistically evil.

S.P.E.W or the Inquisitorial Squad: S.P.E.W. Yeah, wizard version of civil rights!

The Ministry of Magic or Gringotts: Ministry of Magic. For all its faults (or perhaps because of it) I find it more entertaining than the somber, scary Gringotts.

Three Broomsticks or The Leaky Cauldron:

Werewolf or Inferus: Werewolf.

Whomping Willow or Flying Ford Anglia: The Whomping Willow is hilarious. Remember the random eating a bird thing?

Yule Ball or Quidditch Championship: Probably the Yule Ball because at least I could find something to do/someone to talk to besides watch stuff and listen to other people yell. Not really that keen on either, though.

You Should Play the Guitar

You're very independent - both in spirit and in the way you learn.

You can teach yourself almost anything, even if it makes your fingers bleed.

You're not really the type to sit patiently through a music lesson - or do things by the book.

It's more your style to master the fundamentals and see where they take you.

Highly creative and a bit eclectic, you need a wide range of music to play.

You could emerge as a sensitive songwriter... or a manic rock star.

Your dominant personality characteristic: being rebellious

Your secondary personality characteristic: tenacity
