1. Are you going to look at every possible spoiler you can before the book comes out? Did you with HBP and how accurate were the ones you saw?
No. I learned my lesson the last time. That was shitty! Now, Michellanne just bought me the unauthorized Mugglenet.com guide to Book 7, but it's not spoilers, just speculation, no more or no less valuable than mine :-P (I mean, jeez, if I'd had mad web skillz, I could have done the same thing, and I totally would have :-P I just got stuck in the stone age writing down my lists of spells, and discussing theories, in a dusty attic with a group of younger kids).

2. What will you do if Amazon (or whoever) don't deliver your copy on time, and everyone is reading it except you?
I would like to go to a book release party, which would prevent this from happening, but I may be at Mori no Ike if it's released on 7/7, in which case I will have to be behind everyone, and I will have to have Tory mail it to me and then have to smuggle in reading it when the kids aren't looking.

3. Will you read the last chapter before anything else? Are you planning to read the book all in one go or are you a slow reader?
No-- though perhaps I might read the last line, since I do that occasionally. I will read straight through, most likely, to the best of my ability (once again, Mori no Ike has the potential to get in the way, depending on release date /-:).

4. What's your theory on the meaning of "Deathly Hallows?"
I, like everyone else stupid and American, immediately associated it with Godric's Hollow-- you have to admit, the homophone is tempting. However, I did note the difference, even if I ignore it :-P and I'm pretty sure it's something specific and vitally important to this book itself which has formerly appeared nowhere (or only in passing-- we do know our JK :-P)-- we never heard of the Chamber of Secrets or the Goblet of Fire (or the Triwizard Tournament) before reading their respective books; Half-Blood Prince, Prisoner of Azkabam (though the prisoner himself was anonymous save one previous name-drop), and Philosopher's Stone (in its Philosopher Stone form :-P) did us the favor of giving us at least partial information; we're not nearly that spoiled to have it for all the books, lol . . .

5. What's the craziest Harry Potter theory you've got, which you could only share with your trusted f-list?
I don't guard my theories. My favorite, however, which will most likely never be addressed but seems to hold tremendous weight, as is: Ted Tonks is a newcaster. More specifically, he is the Little Whinging weather station's newcaster. The newscaster in a news brief about odd wizarding events (not known to be to Harry, at the time, though, of course) is named Ted, and he speaks about the events with a little twinkle, sort of smirk, to his eye, apparently. I would guess he got a job in the Muggle world to distance (and better protect) himself and his wife, Andromeda, bound to be a target, certainly; it's pretty darn legitimate :-P

6. If you could write in a sub-plot of your own choosing to the main Harry one, what would it be?
I want more backstory! I don't care about subplot so much as long as it links to something interesting from the past. Give Remus Lupin more to do, give Severus Snape more flashbacks, have Andromeda Tonks show up and relay the tragic story of her younger departed cousin. I've got my own theories on their backstories, and so I'd be all but bursting to write them myself :-P

7. Who do you think will die in the book, and who would you be most upset to see die, even if you don't think it's likely?
Well, Lord Voldemort is a duh. Also, the top dogs of the Death Eaters, too, Lucius Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange, have no other suitable options but death.

Severus Snape also should and ought to die. He'll finally be redeemed outright. Peter Pettigrew's death may also figure into his owed sacrifice to Harry.

I am not pulling for nor expecting Harry's death. Quite frankly, I will be annoyed if it plays out that way.

8. Name three main (ish) characters who you think will definitely live and why. Is there a very minor character(s) you really want to have a happy ending? I think Ron and Hermione will live to make babies happily ever after :-P Why give them that romance if nothing will come of it but one year? Also, Professor McGonagall needs to live to carry on Hogwarts.

Neville deserves something good. Ron, also. He really wants and deserves something for being such a noble kid in the background all the time.

9. If you don't like the book, or are bitterly disappointed by it, do you think you'll still stay in the fandom?
Well, yeah, but I'll probably just devote all my energies to providing backstories for the characters (and the time period) I like best-- the Marauder generation. Screw everything in the actual books :-P

10. One word (or concise) answers only!

Snape — Will be redeemed.

Bill — Doesn't have much of a point?

Peter — Will pay his due to Harry.

The Weasleys — Will end up happy for being good people.

Did Snape love Lily — Yes, though I suspect unrequitedly (she was nice to him because she was decent-- I'm very familiar with the circumstances).

Hogwarts — Continues on forever, of course.

Remus and Tonks — Will get married and be fine (why would any of them deserve more grief?).

Bellatrix — Goes out like a firecracker.

The new leader of the OotP is ...? — It won't need a new leader.

Percy — Gets punished, but only lightly, and then returns to the fold. He wasn't truly evil, after all.

11. If Harry could take just one adult Order of the Phoenix member with him on the search for Horcruxes, who should it be and why? Okay, Severus Snape would totally be useful, but that would totally not be happening. Honestly, I think he needs to find Andromeda Tonks (or perhaps even a more forgiving-- in the time of desperation to save her son-- Narcissa Malfoy); she can fill him in with the information on Regulus he needs to know to find the Horcruxes and defeat the eviler Black cousins. She's not in the Order, but, dammit, she'd be useful!

12. Will Remus and Greyback have a confrontation in human or werewolf form? Will Tonks be involved? Who will the other werewolves support? Why the hell . . . ? No. That'd just be silly. It'd be a waste of time when there's so much other information and loose ends to fill up. Maybe it can be mentioned in a side note in the final battle, or something, but there needs to be no whole chapters devoted to it, like there were Harry and Ginny's to-rival-fanfic romance . . .

13. Who is the person from Harry's class (and it isn't him, Ron or Hermione), who will become a Hogwarts' teacher? What subject will they teach? Why can't I choose Harry, Ron, or Hermione? After that, only Neville would, and probably Herbology.

14. Do you think Harry will observe Remus looking less lined and walking with a little more of a spring in his step? If so, do you think he'll attribute it to Tonks, and if he does, will he blush? Personally, I could see there be an actual wedding in the next book. It could totally make sense-- Remus and Tonks get married, and Andromeda shows up to witness it, obviously, and Harry uses her to get information . . .

15. Will Ginny use, "But Professor Lupin saw the futility of being a noble prat!" for one of her million arguments with Harry about why they should be together? Do you think they'll get back together at all? If they both live, than definitely. Considering their break-up (and Ginny's previous role as a victim) I doubt Ginny's in any further risk of being killed off, however. That just leaves Harry, and even that death is doubtful (and foul-tasting /-:) to me.

16. Which house do you think Tonks is in, and why? Is she going to morph into someone important and who will it be? (Why this obsession with Tonks and Remus? Other characters exist, too /-:). I think Tonks was probably a Gryffindor, since everyone is. Her morphing skills may come in handy; I doubt they'd exist if they weren't going to. (Yet at this point, considering her constraints, perhaps some fun things may be dropped-- this might be one of those /-:).

17. Who will be revealed to be the heir of Gryffindor? Wait-- what? Someone's supposed to be revealed as this? Does it matter? WTF?

18. As JKR has promised the final chapter will be like an epilogue; how do you think the final paragraph (hopefully) donated to Remus' future, and/or Tonks', and/or anyone else you want to write a paragraph on, will read? Ugh. Okay, I like Remus and Tonks as much as the next person, but, jeez . . . Like I said, I think they get married, and are assumed to live on happily, end of story. Until Tonks showed up, I always figured Remus would die-- yet with this love in the future, it'd just be unnecessarily tragic /-:

19. Which question from the books would it annoy you most not to have answered? If Snape and Lily ever had a thing, however unrequited.

20. What do you think the last line of the book is? "And so ends the tale of the boy with the lightning bolt scar," or something. I'm not sure if it's going to be one of those "Oh, now his scar has disappeared!" things.

I ate tons of food after two days of practically not eating. I am getting able to eat solid foods as long as I am careful.

First day of classes, and it's deathly cold outside.
